Hello and welcome to this meditation for relaxing before your driving test,

A chance to get yourself in the optimal state to do your very best.

To begin,

Get into a comfy position and allow the body to settle and take a deep breath in and a long relaxing breath out.

Let the breath and settle into its own natural rhythm.

Let the eyes comfortably close and just become aware of the body,

Letting it become still until the only movement you're aware of is your breathing,

The flow of the breath,

The expansion and contraction in and out.

Now take a deep breath in through the nose,

Hold it,

Then breathe out through the mouth with a long out breath.

Do another deep breath in,

Hold and long breath out like a long sigh.

Now letting your breathing settle into a natural relaxed rhythm.

In your mind's eye,

Imagine you're now at the start of your driving test.

You're relaxed,

Your shoulders and neck are loose,

Your breathing is calm and you're smiling as the examiner asks you to start.

You slowly start the car,

Doing your checks.

So relaxed,

Like you have all the time in the world and you realize you're completely in control of the pace.

As the test progresses,

Everything comes naturally.

Calm,

Steady maneuvers,

Easily correcting if you have to.

Taking your time as you drive along the road,

You're focused and relaxed.

Taking in everything you see with a wide centered awareness.

Everything just flows.

Enjoy that feeling,

Calm,

Focused,

Relaxed.

Now gently bring your awareness back to the normal feelings of the body,

To the present moment and open your eyes,

Bringing all that calmness with you,

With the knowledge that you can calmly control the pace.

Ready and relaxed,

Ready for a test that's controlled and calm.
