The mind speaks in words,

And the body speaks in sensations that we can identify as emotions.

Giving the emotions in your body space to be felt,

Heard,

And understood is one of the most loving things you can do for yourself.

Let's take a few minutes to slow down and turn your focus inward.

Start by getting comfortable,

And feel your breath moving in and out of your lungs.

Tune in to the sensations your body is experiencing from head to toe with as little judgment as possible.

Notice any sensations you can identify as emotions,

Breathing into them,

And welcoming them into your experience like a little kid that's asking for your love.

If there's any discomfort,

Or you find yourself analyzing,

Judging,

Or trying to get rid of the feelings,

That's okay.

Slow yourself down and come back into your body.

Any discomfort is just your body asking you to listen.

You don't need to make sense of it,

You don't need to fix it.

Just practice making room for it.

If it feels right to you,

You can say,

All of my feelings belong here,

Allowing all sensations and emotions to be present.

Allow whatever emotions are coming up to surface,

And just remain present,

Continuing to welcome them into your experience.

Slowly bring yourself back into the space around you,

Opening your eyes if they were closed,

And take a nice slow deep breath.

If it feels right to you,

You can extend some gratitude to your body for communicating with you throughout this practice.

I invite you to check back in with yourself throughout your day,

And use your body's sensations as information,

Guiding you to the emotions within you that are needing attention and gentleness.
