This is a one-minute refresher that helps us to return to the present moment. Throughout our day, we may become overwhelmed as the pressures of our lives build up. We sometimes forget that it is most productive to focus on one task at a time and fully concentrate our energy there, even when there is a barrage of other things demanding our attention. This little practice is a way to pause, re-focus, and really ask ourselves what's most important right now.

Hello,

This is Ryan,

And I just wanted to share with you a little practice to refresh,

To be more present,

To get off autopilot,

And to make a choice about what to do next.

So let's practice this.

In just a moment,

I'll ask you to take three breaths.

So let's begin.

On your first breath,

Bringing complete,

Yet gentle attention to the process of breathing.

And on your second breath,

Allowing the body to relax.

And then on your third breath,

Asking yourself,

What's really most important right now?

So you can do this practice as many times as you like throughout your day to recenter,

To get grounded,

And to focus on what's most important in this moment,

Instead of getting carried away by all of the other things.

Perfect for quick grounding. I used this today , at the beginning of my therapy session rather than the 2 minute timer I had been using at the beginning of session. šŸ™āœØšŸ’›šŸ’«šŸ•Š My therapist found it very useful and grounding. As well as I šŸ˜‰šŸ¤—
