Welcome back.
Thank you so much for joining me.
Today's meditation will be about noticing how the breath is your home.
So find a comfortable place to sit or lay down.
Gently close your eyes.
And take a few deep breaths in through the nose and out through the nose.
Pay attention as you breathe in.
And pay attention as you breathe out.
Start to become aware of how the body is moved by the breath.
As you inhale,
The belly rises.
As you exhale,
The belly falls.
Or the chest rises on the inhale.
And falls on the exhale.
Relax your cheeks,
Your jaw.
Drop your tongue away from the roof of your mouth.
Take a deep breath in.
Slow,
Extended exhale.
And just for this moment,
For this breath,
Notice how no matter what else is going on in your life,
When you breathe in,
And when you breathe out,
You are home.
Gently reminding yourself that in this world and in this body,
Where so many things seem to be out of our control,
That this breath,
While we have it,
This is ours.
We can control how deeply we inhale.
And we can control how slowly we exhale.
In the next few minutes,
I invite you to take your time and truly spend some time with your breath.
If the mind starts to wander,
You can gently smile and come back home.
Reminding yourself in this breath,
In this meditation,
And for the rest of your day or evening,
The breath is my home.
I'm coming back home to my breath.
I'll watch the time.
I'll watch the time.
I'll watch the time.
I'll watch the time.
The breath is my home.
This is my breath.
This is where I come home.
As we slowly come back to this space,
Gently opening your eyes and seeing your surroundings in a new way.
Until next time.
