Food for my mood.

Today I will eat my meals in a mindful way.

Today I will enjoy my snacks in a sacred way.

Today I will drink with the knowledge of exactly what am I feeding my body with and how I am affecting my mood later.

Every bite,

Every spoonful or forkful,

Every cut or spread of the blade will have a role to play and a purpose to fulfill as food makes its way into my beloved belly,

Blood and brain.

I will think of how many animals died for me today and thank them.

How many plants came from seed and sprouted and brought to life a fruit,

A vegetable,

Grains and legumes for me to eat.

I will remind myself of what was done to each as it was transformed into liquid in the form of milk,

Juice,

Tea or simply water from the tap and I will make a point to remember that every food plays a role on my mood.
