I have been thinking a lot about what does it mean to ask A large language model artificial intelligence,
A question that for 200,
000 years human beings have been looking inside to ask themselves.
We want to be careful of this seductive tendency to reach outside of ourselves for answers that can only come from within.
Have you ever been someone or known someone who's always asking everyone else what they should do?
Do you think I should do this?
Do you think I should do that?
And I don't think that that's at all a bad thing.
I think that can be a beautiful thing,
Actually,
To be in relationship with our community.
But there can be a danger to always asking others what we should do and never sitting with them.
The internal inquiry and the wisdom within.
And it's from that wisdom within that a wellspring of confidence emerges and we can make decisions about our lives and we can feel whole about those decisions because we have an internal compass that we are attending to and developing like a muscle.
So let's go into a short practice here of asking ourselves,
Going into the large wisdom model within,
Within us as a wellspring of wisdom.
And we want to make sure that we are asking ourselves the questions that are most important to us in our lives,
And not only outsourcing answers from a large language artificial model of quote,
Intelligence.
So let's close our eyes if that feels comfortable for you.
And let's do a little practice to.
Soothe some of the anxiety that comes up by attending to our rich inner world.
You're rich.
Fertile.
Inner world,
This inner ecology of aliveness,
Of wisdom,
Of ancestral knowing.
That is the highest form of intelligence.
That any human being could ever imagine.
So let's come into that inner space.
Whatever that means for you,
Maybe just beginning by.
Noticing.
The sensations within your own body right now.
Sensations are intelligence.
Information,
Data,
Wisdom.
And experiential knowing.
So let's begin simply by being with.
Being with the sensations that are alive in your body right now without needing to run into a story about the sensations,
But just be with.
Hello.
Sensation.
Hello,
Body.
Do you notice some flurries in your chest?
A knot in your gut,
Or maybe a feeling of ease and neutrality,
Calm,
Peace coming over you.
Just notice.
What's alive right now.
As you attend to your sensational world,
That inner ecology of inner sensation.
Let's invite in the wisdom of the breath,
The breath.
That moves in and out of the body,
That flows,
That inspiration.
The Latin inspirare,
To breathe life into.
And expiration,
The Latin expedare.
To end,
To expire,
To release,
To let go.
And if it feels appropriate for you,
You can place one hand onto the heart.
And the other hand on top of that hand.
And we're going to ask.
The soul intelligence,
The inner human system.
Just asking any question that feels alive for you right now,
Something you're wondering,
Something you're maybe figuring out or sorting through,
Something you might feel an anxiety about or uncertainty.
And if you don't have a question,
You could simply ask what.
What feels alive for me right now?
Whatever question you ask yourself,
Feel the power in your hands,
The sensations in your body,
And the wisdom of the flowing breath.
And just notice for the next few moments,
We'll just sit with what wants to emerge.
When we ask a question,
We tune our instrument towards the possibilities of the answers that might flow forward.
Minutes moments hours and days to come.
So even if you don't get an immediate answer or a quick response,
Remembering the power and potency of the questions we ask ourselves.
The questions that we're sitting with on the inside.
And so as you move throughout your day and as you walk.
Into the next moments of your day in your life.
Notice your dreams notice.
Any daydreams,
Thoughts,
Fantasies,
Ideas that might come to you.
In response to this question.
Remembering to ask the deeper questions and to let.
Our internal wisdom systems find their answers in due time.
And so if it feels appropriate for you,
You could write this question down in your journal just to kind of.
Put it down on paper to kind of call it into greater importance and remembrance.
And thank you so much for joining me in this practice.
It's a pleasure and honor to be here with you.
My name is Shannon Algeo,
And I'll see you here again soon on Insight Timer.
Keep asking the questions and keep listening to the answers that come.
