There is only 1 thing we need to do if we hope to experience more peace, joy, happiness, and compassion in our lives. That one thing is... surrender. Surrender to life, trusting that life is playing itself out exactly as it is meant to. We get into trouble when we try to control the flow of life, thinking we know what is best for us. But often this isn't the case. Surrender. Be still, and know peace.

Hello friends.

There's one term I would like to leave you with today and this should only take a minute or two and that one term is this surrender.

If you remember nothing else from this brief talk today remember that word surrender and notice that when you're experiencing emotions that we don't like to experience emotions like anger or hatred or frustration or sadness or anxiety when we experience those things it's primarily because we want things to be different than they actually are.

If we learn to surrender to the present moment to be as open as we possibly can be to what is going on in our lives and to believe that life is playing itself out as it is meant to we will experience the emotions that we do like emotions like joy happiness some excitement contentment and I can appreciate that surrendering our lives to the present moment can be a scary proposition certainly if it's not something that we're used to doing but just like anything the more we practice at something the easier it becomes and the better at it we get and this is something that is worth practicing this ultimately is what is going to change our lives around when we surrender to the present moment and the full faith and belief that life is playing itself out as it is meant to.

So friends I'm going to ask you to do this very quick exercise when you're feeling those emotions you don't like stress anxiety anger frustration and so on just very simply sit quietly take one deep breath in hold for a moment and exhale and if you can do that while also being aware of the idea that you can be open and you can completely surrender to life's moments then you are going to experience the emotions that you do like that you do want that you do desire so very simply if you want to experience more peace and joy in your life surrender if you want to experience a greater sense of happiness and centeredness surrender if you want to experience more excitement a greater sense of lightheartedness if you want to experience more love in your life for yourself and for others friends surrender
