Hello and welcome to this short guided meditation which has been created for anyone who is currently experiencing pain,

Stiffness or discomfort to offer gentle relief through a soft and soothing visualization experience harnessing the power of the imagination to make that pain more manageable find a comfortable position now either sitting or lying down and close your eyes if you feel comfortable to do so take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth releasing any tension in your body feeling the stiffness and discomfort melting away like ice cream in the sunshine now I want you to imagine yourself in a peaceful garden it's a warm summer day and the Sun is shining down on you feel the gentle warmth of the Sun on your skin as if it's soothing and healing your whole body imagine yourself looking down at your arms and noticing the warm healing glow that surrounds you and as you breathe in it's almost as if you are breathing in that healing light filling you up from the inside like a warm comfortable blanket around any areas of pain or stiffness and as you take another deep breath in you notice the scent of the flowers surrounding you inhale deeply and let the sweet floral aroma fill your senses imagine this fragrance contains natural healing properties an ancient remedy for whatever ails you and as you inhale this scent you inhale the healing energy that flows through your body reducing any discomfort you may be feeling pooling gently around the areas that need most care now shift your attention to the sounds in the garden listen to the soft rustling of leaves in the breeze the birds chirping in the distance and the calming trickle of water from a nearby fountain allow these sounds to create a sense of true tranquility soothing your mind and your body as you continue to breathe deeply notice the colors of the garden notice the vibrant use of the flowers the lush greenery and the clear blue sky the blues and greens relax and calm the pinks and purples and oranges restore and rejuvenate and you enjoy the therapeutic effect of the colors and the sense of wellness they create in your mind and in your body now bring your attention to the sensation of touch imagine yourself sitting in the garden on top of a comfortable cushion enjoying the softness beneath you as you sink into its comfortable embrace you reach out to run your fingers over the petals of a nearby flower noticing the delicate texture so soft and beautiful this garden has a banquet of textures all available to you in a soothing touch and you feel that same gentle caress across any areas of your body that are causing you pain or discomfort in the garden of your imagination you move towards the fountain you heard earlier you sit on the edge of the fountain and dangle your feet into the cooling water enjoying the sensation and the relief that the fresh cold water brings to aching bones and tired feet and you redirect that cooling relief and release to whatever area of your body needs it the most whether that be inside or out you look into the fountain and see orbs of warm golden light dancing through the water one of the orbs floats towards you and you reach out your toes to touch it and when you make contact the orb playfully glides across your foot and then with no effort at all it is absorbed by your skin and moves inside of your body to help soothe and heal you and you can feel it radiate warm golden light giving you such tremendous sense of well-being and now you can direct that glowing orb to wherever in your body that it needs to be where is your pain right now your back your knees your neck your stomach send the golden orb to that place now and feel its heat pulsating at the exact location of your pain and if you are feeling pain in more than one place simply collect more orbs from the fountain and direct them in the same way enjoy the relief of the pulsating heat of the orb at the very heart of your pain pulling your pain towards the center of the healing ball of light and then releasing it outwards until it has completely left your body like the ripples created by a stone hitting the water outwards and outwards until the lake is still while your attention is on that area of your body that is causing you discomfort I want you to really think about how that pain presents itself in your mind is it a knot or a fire or a crack once you know how your pain presents and you'll be able to visualize a way of relieving it the fire could be dampened down by a jet of cooling water the knot untied as you imagine pulling on the ends a crack repaired by a flow of molten liquid and it's healing heat take a moment now to really think about what that pain soothing metaphor could be for you in as much sensory detail as possible so you can return to it and use it again and again whenever you need to take a few more moments to bask in the peaceful garden in your imagination experiencing this wonderful place with all your senses and allowing yourself to fully absorb the healing energy when you're ready gently open your eyes and carry this sense of relief relaxation and well-being with you throughout your day and remember this guided meditation is meant to assist with pain relief management but it's
