Welcome to this grounding reset meditation.
You can do this meditation to start your day or wind down your evening or any time in between.
This meditation is meant to ground you into support and nourishment and to provide energetic clarity.
Before getting comfortable,
I invite you to set your space in a way that feels sacred for your practice.
This can be as simple as lighting a candle or incense,
Sitting upon a comfortable cushion,
Or maybe even wrapping yourself in a warm cozy blanket.
Once your space is set,
I welcome you to either find a comfortable seat with a straight spine or maybe even finding a comfortable position lying on your back.
Before closing down the eyes,
Take a moment to just scan your physical space,
Noticing what is around you,
Letting your gaze fall gently over your environment.
Just taking a moment to witness this physical space you exist within,
Here and now.
And when you're ready,
Gently closing down the eyes,
Letting the external world start to drift away as you move inward.
And we're going to start with three deep breaths,
Inhaling through the nose and sighing out through the mouth.
And I want these breaths to be relieving.
So breathe in deeply in the low belly,
And open mouth,
Exhale,
Let it all go.
Two more just like that at your own pace,
Filling up with new fresh life force and clearing out any stagnant energy.
After your three deep breaths,
Let your breathing return to its natural rhythm,
In through the nose and out through the nose,
Letting your awareness rest in the center of your head.
And as you start to slowly deepen your breath,
Expanding the low belly and extending your exhales,
Start to drop your awareness from the center of your head all the way down to the base of your spine.
Here at the base of your spine,
Letting a color come to you.
Just notice this color at the base of your spine as a ball of light.
With every inhale,
This ball of light grows brighter and stronger.
And on your next exhale from the base of your spine where this light is shining brightly,
Start to drop down roots from the base of your spine into the floor beneath you moving down into the layers of the earth,
Past the soil,
Past the mycelium network,
The tree roots,
The water,
Letting these roots fall all the way down to the center of the earth.
And here you feel them anchor your being into something so stable and supportive,
So unshakable.
Continue to breathe here,
Feeling yourself connected to the earth,
Held and nourished.
With every exhale,
Begin to release down through your roots anything that you've been holding on to that feels heavy or stagnant.
Clearing out old energy,
Doubts,
Fear,
Stress,
Anxiety.
Clearing out anything that doesn't belong to you that you may have picked up along the way.
Let your roots take these back down into the earth where this energy can be recycled.
Keep breathing,
Trusting that the earth is here to receive whatever it is you are clearing and releasing from your space.
Start to feel the openness,
This new space you've created in your body.
And now using your inhale,
Start to draw up from the earth all the way through your roots,
Whatever resource it is you're most needing in this moment.
Whether that is the feeling of support,
Stability,
Grounding,
Soul nourishment.
Maybe it's confidence,
Gratitude,
Love,
Healing.
Whatever you most need,
Start to pull it up into your roots all the way back into the base of your spine,
Back into your body.
Seeing this as a light moving throughout your body,
Every single cell glowing with exactly what it is that you need.
Setting your entire being aglow.
Feeling this resource fill you up.
Continuing to focus on your breath.
Using this to move the energy up and into your body,
Circulating around throughout every limb,
Every cell.
Feeling your body growing light.
Inviting in a sense of ease and trust that you are exactly where you need to be.
That it is safe to trust life to take care of you.
That it is safe to rest and take time just for you.
That the earth wants to nourish you.
Spend a few more moments here with your breath and your body,
Perhaps placing a hand over your heart or a hand over your low belly.
Creating that physical connection and grounding into the here and now.
Take a moment to breathe into gratitude for yourself,
For showing up and being here.
For devoting yourself to your practice for these moments and as you move throughout your day.
Sending gratitude to your physical body for holding you and sending gratitude down to the earth for all of her support,
All of her nourishment,
All of her constant grounding.
Taking one more deep breath into the low belly,
The ribcage,
The chest,
The heart space and open your mouth.
Exhaling it out,
Let it go.
Sealing in this new energy and moving throughout the rest of your day or evening from this grounded supported space in this renewed energy.
