20 Minute Meditation - Grounding Into Earth

You are a divine being, but you came here to be fully human too. To feel safe in your body, rooted in your purpose, and connected to the Earth beneath you. This meditation is a gentle invitation to come home to yourself, especially helpful when you are feeling ‘in your head’ and floaty. Through guided breath, intention, and energetic rooting, you’ll anchor and stabilise into Earth.

Find a comfortable seat and when you're ready,

Allow the eyes to close down.

I'm just feeling what it feels like to be in your body today.

And bring your awareness into your breath.

Feeling this natural flow of breath through your body and just noticing any subtle movement that's created in the body from the movement of your breath.

Can you slow down the breath even more as you drop it down into your belly?

Breathing in,

Belly expands.

Breathing out,

Belly back towards your spine.

Keep breathing like this,

Slowing down the breath.

Beautiful,

And then start to place a bubble around you.

Just doubling up this protective layer.

And just setting the intention here that anything that is not for your highest good,

Anything that might be sitting in your auric field right now,

Leaves.

So just imagine that energy starting to move through this bubble and out.

Beautiful,

Then bring your awareness into your root chakra,

Base of the spine.

And start to land and lay your roots into the earth.

And then allowing them to weave all the way down to the center of earth.

Through all of the layers of earth until you arrive at the very center.

Just visualizing this the best you can.

And when you arrive at the center of earth,

We'll find somewhere to connect to,

To anchor to.

So that could be a rock,

A crystal,

A physical object that's being presented to you.

Could be like a physical anchor that you'd see on a ship.

Just see what feels right for you and find that anchor point.

And allow that anchor to go downwards so it's pulling you even deeper into your seat and allowing gravity to do its work.

And we'll just take a couple of minutes here,

Just really earthing ourselves.

Connecting with our home planet,

This place where we live.

So just really taking a moment to be with the earth's energy.

And as you sit in this energy,

I'm just gonna ground you even more.

I want you to visualize the most beautiful weighted blanket.

Go super thick,

Super warm and cozy.

It's just being placed around you.

Placed over your shoulders,

Around your body.

You may even have something placed over your head if that also feels nice.

And just allow the weight of this blanket to anchor you even more into your body,

Into your root chakra,

Into the earth.

And invoking this sense of safety through the body.

How can you make yourself feel more safe,

More grounded,

More present?

We'll stay here for a few more minutes.

And from here,

We're gonna travel our awareness back down into the core of the earth,

Where your roots are firmly rooted.

And we're gonna ask Mother Earth if we can bring some of her beautiful,

Sacred earth energy up into our energy system.

And with a yes,

Just starting to visualize this beautiful energy.

Whatever color is being shown to you is perfect.

This beautiful energy just running up from the center of the earth,

Along your roots,

All the way back into your root chakra.

It's almost like roots running through all of your physical body.

But also,

If you visualize the veins of a leaf,

For example,

We have these meridians,

These energy channels running through our energy body,

Through our physical body.

Want you just to start visualizing this light running through every single energy pathway,

Every meridian in your physical body.

So starting to light up your body from the inside out,

Through all of these big and small and very fine energy pathways.

Just allow yourself to be filled with this earth energy.

Keep breathing as you're breathing in this light.

And then if there's anywhere in your body where you feel you need a little bit more light,

More energy,

Healing,

Just attention,

Maybe there's a part of the body where you're experiencing some discomfort or pain or disease and start to bring energy there.

Maybe there's parts of the body that have got old injuries.

Just start to move the energy to wherever in your body is calling for light.

And then from here,

Just tuning in with your whole body,

Your physical body,

And just asking your body what it needs,

What it needs today,

Tomorrow,

Over the next week.

What does your body need right now?

Just acknowledging anything that came through,

Honoring that request from your body,

And then starting to bring a little bit more awareness back into your breath.

If you would like to keep your root system planted here into the earth,

And stay extra grounded for the rest of your day,

You can keep the roots there,

But if you feel like they want to come back up,

Let that happen.

And then just starting to bring the gentlest of movement back into the body through the fingers and the toes,

The ankles and wrists.

Perhaps moving through the head,

The spine,

The shoulders.

Rubbing your hands together to create heat.

You can move the hands quite quickly here.

Building enough heat so that you feel the warmth between the hands,

And then placing your hands over your eyes.

Feel the warmth from your hands through your eyes,

And then start to trace the hands down the face,

To the throat,

Across the shoulders,

Down over the torso,

To the hips,

And then all the way along your legs,

All the way down to your feet.

Just tracing the body.

Thanking the body for all that it does for you every day,

Without you even asking.

And then bring your palms to be placed on the heart space.

Just take three slow breaths into the heart.

If you'd like to stay here a little bit longer,

Please do.

Always trusting your body and your soul to guide you.

If you feel complete,

Then when you're ready,

You can gently open your eyes.
