Let's unwind from the day and start to relax our body from the top right down to our toes.
Let's start with three gentle deep breaths.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Breathe in and let it all go.
Let's unwind and uncoil the tight spring.
Go ahead and place your focus at the crown of your head.
Imagine that there is a warm glowing light and its main purpose is to completely relax you.
Feel the warmth from the glowing light against your skin melting the tension in your forehead,
Softening your cheeks,
Allowing you to unclench your jaw.
Allow the warm comforting glow to give you the permission to relax.
The warm glowing light moves down your neck and the tops of your shoulders melting the muscles down.
It's okay to let go,
To surrender,
To release.
The warm glowing light radiates over your chest unraveling any tight ball of anxiety hiding there.
With your next breath imagine that the ball of stress and anxiety in your chest is unraveling and disappearing in your next exhale.
The warm glowing light paints itself down your arms and ribbons around your stomach and lower back.
You feel all of your muscles melt into this relaxation.
The warm glowing light wraps around the tops of your legs,
Knees,
Shins and ankles.
You ease off,
Loosen up and relinquish control knowing that this feeling of relaxed comfort is here to stay and yours to keep.
The warm glowing light encases your feet with this radiating heat.
Visualise your whole body surrounded by the warm glowing light.
You feel calm,
You feel relaxed almost as if this was always meant to be.
Take the next few moments to focus on this feeling,
Bask in it,
Enjoy it,
Allow it to melt into every cell in your body.
Take the next few moments to enjoy this moment,
Bask in it,
Allow it to melt into every cell And when you feel that spike of anxiety,
Stress or overwhelm creep back in,
Gently acknowledge it and let it go,
Guiding your focus back to this gorgeous feeling of relaxation.
If it helps you can silently say inhale each time you inhale and exhale each time you exhale.
And as we leave our meditation for today and prepare ourselves for a restful slumber,
Let's take three deep breaths to really store this feeling.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Breathe in and breathe out.
And whenever you're ready you can gently open your eyes or alternatively switch your phone off and fall straight to sleep.
Thank you for joining me.
Same time,
Same place tomorrow.
Sweet dreams.
You
