So let's begin settling into our cozy,
Safe sanctuary by taking three deep breaths.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Carrying on your breathing,
Gently drop your shoulders,
Soften your forehead.
Let go of any tension in the jaw and allow that lovely oxygen to just flood your system.
It doesn't matter if you don't feel calm right away,
You may be holding onto a lot of stress,
Tension and anxiety from the day and that can take a while to flush out.
So we're just going to continue to breathe and be open to feeling maybe a little less tense,
A little less tight.
Maybe we can even begin to relinquish control and trust ourselves.
Imagine that your breath is like the ocean waves coming in and going back out.
Coming in and going back out.
Imagine standing at the shoreline of a beach and every time you breathe in a wave meets you at your feet and every time you breathe out it's pulled back out to sea,
Taking all of your worries,
Stresses and anxieties with it.
They are no longer yours to keep,
The wave has taken responsibility and washed them away.
Imagine what it looks like,
What colour is the sea,
Is there foam on the edge of the waves that meets you on the shoreline,
What can you hear,
What does it smell like and most importantly what does it feel like?
And when the impulse of your mind holds on tight to thoughts that cause you stress,
Gently and unjustly bring it back to the safe and hypnotic rhythm of the wave coming in and the wave going out,
The breath coming in and the breath going out.
Imagine that your breath is like the ocean waves coming in and the wave coming out.
Feel this sense of calm wash over you again and again and again.
Today is done,
Nothing is needed of you except for you.
Step to rest,
To slip into a peaceful slumber,
To recover and melt into well deserved relaxation.
And as we make our way back to ourselves let's take one final deep breath.
And cherish this feeling,
Breathe in and breathe out.
Same time,
Same place tomorrow,
Sweet dreams everyone.
Good morning.
Good morning.
