Hello,
My name is Tess from the Big Heart Journey.
And this is a very short heart hug meditation to move you through the feeling of being overwhelmed.
You can do this meditation anywhere at all.
You don't even have to sit down.
Just stop whatever it is that you are doing.
Or if you're like me,
Stop whatever five things you're doing at the same time.
And put your hands on your heart.
Feel the ground underneath your feet.
Take a big deep breath in and let it out.
And focus on the beating of your heart inside of your chest.
The magical thing is that you don't have to do anything and your heart beats all day long.
The sun comes up and goes down and you don't have to do anything.
Take another deep breath in and hold it for a minute at the top of your inhale.
Focus on the space between your eyes.
Focus on the space of doing nothing.
Let the air out and feel that feeling of space and of calm moving down your body.
Going over your face,
Your shoulders,
Passing by your heart,
Moving down your legs and moving into your toes.
Let's do it again.
Take a big deep breath in.
Hold at the top and focus on the space between your eyes and enjoy that space,
That freedom and that emptiness.
Hold it and as you let it go,
Let that open free space of nothing go over your body,
Over your face,
Over your shoulders,
Down your arms into your fingers,
Going all the way down your legs,
Into your feet and into your toes.
There is nothing that you need to do right now.
Repeat this in your head.
I did what I did.
I didn't do what I didn't do and all is good.
I did what I did.
I didn't do what I didn't do and all is good.
Take one more deep breath in.
Find that space at the top,
Space of open,
Free,
Calm and empty.
As you let it out,
Watch it pass by over your face and over your shoulders and then just put that space inside of your heart,
That free,
Open,
Calm space lives inside of your heart all day long.
And next time part of you feels overwhelmed,
You can come back to that space and just know that you did what you did,
You didn't do what you didn't do and all is good.
