Welcome to mindful meditation when you're feeling out of control.

So it's likely that you're in an environment at the moment where you feel triggered or desperate or emotionally charged,

So see if you can take yourself away from that space if it's possible.

And just allow yourself to find stillness,

Find a place of peace and calm.

Ideally you want to be able to close your eyes or maybe just find a nice soft focus.

And also if you can,

Perhaps place one hand over your heart and one hand over your belly.

This allows you just to really connect with how you're feeling and where you are at this moment,

Reconnecting with your body,

Your breath,

Your mind and spirit.

So once you find yourself in this calmer,

More relaxed space,

Just allow yourself to let everything go.

Let's take a nice deep breath in through the nose and then breathe out through the mouth with a sigh.

And again another breath just like that in through the nose,

Sigh it out through the mouth.

And one more just like that in through the nose and really let it all go.

Beautiful.

So now that we've taken a moment just to realign,

Find our space,

Let's really connect with where we are at this place at this time and find stillness.

So as you check in and notice how you're feeling and notice how your body and your mind may be reacting to what's going on,

Just notice your thoughts,

Notice the emotions that you're experiencing.

And the wonderful thing here to notice is that those thoughts,

Feelings and emotions are all just things.

They're all just circumstances of whatever the experience is that you're having.

And the beautiful thing is you don't actually have to engage with those thoughts or those feelings and emotions if you don't want to.

So you have the power at this moment and actually every moment each and every day to choose to either connect with those thoughts and feelings or just to stand back kind of like as a witness or an observer.

Just noticing certainly you'll continue to experience whatever that is,

The thought,

The emotion,

But almost like riding a wave.

Just allowing that wave to kind of pass through you and then once it does,

Once the charge has gone through and you've felt that experience,

You can let it go.

And then you have the power to choose how you want to move forward.

So in this moment of stillness,

Just allow yourself to breathe.

Notice what you're noticing.

And these still,

Quiet,

Calm moments,

This is the essence of who you truly are.

So at any moment you can come back and connect to this feeling,

To this stillness,

To this calm.

At any time it's always here for you.

And then also while we're in this more reconnected,

More realigned place,

Just allow yourself to recall what your intention is.

What do you actually want in this moment?

Is it the food that you maybe think you need in order to fill or suppress that experience or emotion that's going on?

Or perhaps is there something else that's an even stronger desire?

See if you can check in and really tune in to what your body,

Your mind,

And spirit really wants.

And then once you're able to do that,

You can make a conscious choice about how you want to move forward.

So from this still,

Calm,

Quiet centered place,

Feel free to make a choice for yourself now,

Whatever that happens to be.

And you're welcome still to choose to eat the food if that feels right at this moment.

Or you're welcome to find whatever it is that you're actually needing.

Listen to your body,

Tune in,

The answers will be there for you.

And then to close our practice,

We'll take one final breath.

So breathing in through the nose once again,

Breathing out through the mouth with a sigh,

And just taking a moment to recognize,

To feel gratitude and appreciation for your taking a moment out of your day to pause and reflect and connect with who you truly are.

And then to consciously choose what you'd like to do moving forward.

That's how you live a beautifully mindful,

Consciously awake life.

I hope you have a beautiful rest of your day.

With love and light,

Namaste.

this was extremely serene and seriously helped me reach a level of stillness i haven't experienced to this degree before a moment of over-indulging...or perhaps maybe not quite so viscerally. your voice is soothing. it carries such lush, dulcet tones that i easily transitioned into this meditation. the pace of speech and the words being offered were delivered and punctuated perfectly by the robust pauses sprinkled throughout. none seeming contrived and all with purpose - intention - and space for the start of discovering within. i look forward to getting into more of your other meditations and teachings and, of course, coming back to this one. gratitude & blessings 🙏🙏
