Allow yourself to receive a few slow breaths here,

Receiving a slow steady breath and with each exhale give yourself permission to release any lingering thoughts.

And in your mind's eye,

A path begins to appear,

Winding gently through a tranquil forest or perhaps a sunlit meadow.

The choice is yours.

If you choose the forest,

Notice the dappled sunlight streaming through the leaves,

The earthy scent of the soil beneath you.

If you choose the meadow,

See the tall grass swaying,

The golden light in the sky warming your skin,

And you begin to walk.

Feel or sense the ground under your feet,

Solid,

Steady,

Hear the quiet crunch of leaves or the soft rustle of grass with each step.

The air is fresh and clean,

Maybe you notice the gentle whisper of the wind moving through the branches or the distant call of birds.

Let these sounds soothe you,

As if the forest or the meadow were breathing right alongside of you,

So you find that with every step you feel calmer.

More present,

As though this path were guiding you towards a deeper sense of peace.

And after a short amount of time,

You notice a shimmering glimpse of water ahead,

You find yourself stepping out into a clearing,

And you see it,

A beautiful lake before you.

The surface of water glistens in the sunlight,

You watch as it ripples gently with the breeze,

The light dancing like tiny stars or diamonds across the water.

Breathe in the air,

It's so cool and fresh,

Perhaps with a hint of pine,

Fresh grass or even wildflowers.

Slowly walk toward the water's edge,

Notice how the ground becomes soft,

With moss and grass beneath your feet.

Choose a comfortable place to sit,

Feel the grass beneath you,

Cool and supported.

The perfect amount of sunlight warming your skin,

A light breeze brushing across your face,

Carrying the scent of nature.

Now allow your gaze in your mind's eye to move towards the very center of this lake.

From the depths of the water,

A gentle yet radiant light begins to emerge.

It is warm,

Welcoming,

And alive.

Feel that light reaching out to you,

Wrapping you in a cocoon of peace.

And for the next several minutes,

With every inhale,

Draw the light into your heart.

Let it fill your chest with warmth and clarity and love.

With every exhale,

Release any remaining worries or doubts or even heaviness into this lake,

Where it might dissolve completely.

Inhaling the light into your heart,

And exhaling,

Releasing whatever it is that's not serving you.

Continue for a few moments.

If there is something on your heart,

Perhaps a question or a wish or an intention,

Maybe you'll offer it to the light now.

At this point,

There is no need to press or push for an answer.

Simply trust that what you need will be revealed to you in the right time.

Continuing to rest here in the presence of the light.

Peace,

Silence,

Stillness,

Being.
