Hello and welcome to the Travel with Meditation podcast.

My name is Pam and I am honored to accompany you on this journey today.

Please only listen to this podcast if you are in a situation where it is safe for you to potentially fall asleep.

Feeling fully in the present moment is a precious gift that we can give ourselves.

I invite you to accept this gift along our journey today.

Get ready to relax your body and your mind.

Settle into a comfortable position.

Adjust your body any way that you need to in order to feel even more comfortable.

Now take a deep breath.

Begin to turn your attention inward.

Take another deep breath.

When you are ready,

Close your eyes.

Notice how you are feeling right now,

Mentally and physically.

Without trying to change anything,

Simply take note of how your body feels.

Mentally scan your body now,

Looking for areas of tension.

Where is your body the most tense?

Notice now where your body is most relaxed.

See that these areas of relaxation are slowly getting larger.

Now turn your awareness to your breathing.

Simply notice your breathing without making any effort to change its rhythm in any way.

Imagine breathing in relaxation and breathing out tension.

Feel yourself becoming more and more relaxed and at peace with each breath.

Turn your attention to areas of tension in your body and imagine directing your breath to these areas.

Feel the breath drawing in relaxation and as you exhale,

Imagine the tension draining away from each area of tension.

Allow your breathing to relax your body.

Feel your body and mind becoming relaxed,

Calm,

Peaceful.

Deeply relaxed and calm.

You are getting ready to go to a relaxing place.

The air is feeling crisp and fresh and it is so easy to breathe.

Take one more deep breath.

As you breathe out,

You imagine yourself appearing at a farm in New England.

This is a wonderful and peaceful farm.

You are moving along a dirt path with tall stalks of corn to your right and trees to your left that are glistening in the rays of the sun during the golden hour of the day.

The leaves of all fall foliage colors are illuminating bright oranges,

Reds and yellows.

As you move along,

The sound of leaves crunch beneath you.

When you turn the corner,

You notice that this farm is lovely and decorated for autumn.

You see the three paths.

One is a corn maze.

The second is an orchard for picking apples.

And the third is a pumpkin patch.

You first decide to go through the corn maze.

The stalks of corn are taller than you and surround you now.

As you make your way through the maze,

You seem like you know your way automatically.

You aren't hitting any wrong turns.

Your intuition is guiding you through this path.

And you are making your way swiftly through the field while enjoying being amongst the tall rows of corn.

You look up now and the sun is beginning to set.

You see the end of the maze and make your way through it.

The sun of sky is a lovely orange color as the sun is setting.

You stroll to the apple picking center.

There is a perfectly lush path of green grass between the rows of trees.

Gray apples have fallen from the trees and are scattered along the path.

There are apples of red and green and you reach towards the tree and pick the brightest red apple that you can find.

It has no nicks or bruises.

It is firm and smooth to the touch.

You lift the apple upwards and give it a little twist to release it from the tree.

And as you move down the row,

You pick a few more of each color and place them in your bag.

Sunlight is fading as you make your way to the pumpkin patch.

By the time you make your way across the farm to the pumpkin patch,

The sun has now set.

Fairy lights are beautifully hung around this area and hang above you as you check out the pumpkins.

A breeze blows through and you feel a cool burst of autumn air.

Some of the leaves of the foliage decorated trees dance through the wind.

The moon is big and bright.

You have a handheld lantern to check out the pumpkins.

They are all unique,

Just like each of us.

You see a friendly scarecrow with a blue plaid shirt and a straw hat.

Underneath it is the perfect pumpkin that you were hoping to find.

You grab your pumpkin and begin to go towards the exit.

If you would like to fall asleep,

Gently doze off.

When you are ready to awaken,

Turn your attention outward.

Focus on how your breaths move in and out of your body.

Now turn your attention to how you are feeling.

Open your body and notice how it feels.

It feels more calm and relaxed.

You can come back to this feeling at any time.

Take a deep breath and remember the words,

Calm and relaxed.

Notice the sounds around you and become more aware of the room you are in.

When you are ready,

Open your eyes,

Feeling refreshed,

Relaxed and ready for the rest of the day.
