This is a full moon meditation which is part of a nature series that combines our natural surroundings with meditation. In this technique you visualise the full moon rays penetrate all the parts of your body from your head to your feet. It is a slow paced meditation with lots of silent gaps so you can embody the silence of the moon.

Transcript

This is a moon meditation and a night where the sky is clear and there's a full moon,

Look up and gaze at the moon and as you gaze at the moon,

Slow down your breathing by exhaling first,

Letting all the air out of your lungs and as you inhale,

Feel the rays of the moonlight begin to touch you,

Starting from the top of your head.

As you slowly breathe in and out,

Looking at the moon,

Feel the rays touching the top of your head.

Allow the silence of the moon to penetrate you,

Feel the moonlight filling all of your head,

Face,

Ears,

Back of your head,

Chin and neck,

Seeing the milky white light moving through you and notice any sensations that may arise and if any thoughts arise,

Just notice those thoughts and let them pass.

Allow the silence of the moon to penetrate you deeper,

As her moon rays begin to fill up your body,

Starting with your shoulders and your chest.

When you feel the moonlight filling up around your heart,

Pause for a moment here,

Breathing in and out,

Breathe in the moon essence,

Feeling an expansion in your heart,

Feel it expanding outward and outward towards the moon and feeling the moonlight coming closer and closer and filling you up,

Until you and the moon are one,

Your heart and the moonlight as one.

Continue to feel the moonlight filling up your body,

As it moves through your upper back,

Your middle back and your lower back,

Feeling it filling up your belly and your arms,

Now it's moving down into your hips and your pelvis,

Your buttocks,

Your genitals,

And if you're a woman,

Your womb,

And just feel the dance of the energy between you and the moon,

As you continue to be one,

Seeing the white light filling you up,

And now the moon ray light is filling up your legs,

Your thighs,

Knees,

Calves,

And ankles,

And finally your feet and toes,

And that moon white light is filling you all up throughout your entire body,

And the silence of the moon radiates inside you,

And together we'll just breathe and be in that silence,

And slowly,

Slowly,

Bringing this meditation to a close,

Giving thanks to the moon for her radiant light and her gentle silence,

Carry this moon essence in your heart and your body with you,

Whenever you wish,

In your sleep,

In your day,

Or whenever you need it,

Thank you moon.
