Hello curious creature,
Thank you for joining me in this sensory love letter to being alive.
Now as with all good meditations,
Let's begin with the breath.
Now I want you to take a breath,
One that's not about fixing or changing,
Today it's more about playing.
So,
Inhale through the nose,
Like you're sipping in starlight,
And then for a moment at the top,
Suspended in possibility.
And then through the mouth I want you to exhale like you're blowing dandelions into the wind to carry your wishes away,
Beautiful.
Again,
Inhale starlight,
Hold like a still lake,
And exhale freedom.
Let the breath now begin to flow in its own rhythm,
Like the tide that remembers exactly what to do.
You are a part of that tide,
Alive and belonging.
Now let's open the treasure chest of your senses,
Let's turn the world inside out.
If you haven't already,
Close your eyes.
Now,
What can they smell?
Yes,
Your eyes.
Pretend they have tiny noses,
Sniffing the scent of this moment.
Now is it mossy,
Like a forest floor?
Does it smell sweet,
Like the morning air?
Or does it remind you of something from long ago?
Now imagine your skin could hear,
Hmm,
What would it say about the air touching it?
Is it cool and curious?
Or perhaps warm and whispering?
Is the breeze brushing you like butterfly wings?
Now,
What about those ears of yours?
What if your ears could taste,
Yep,
Taste.
Hmm,
Is there honey in the silence?
Is the wind a little peppery?
Can you feel a cinnamon hum in the birdsong?
You,
Dear one,
Are a symphony of senses.
You are nature.
There is no separation.
Did you know that sea otters hold hands when they sleep so they don't drift apart?
Or that sunflowers turn their faces to follow the light all day long?
Just like them,
You reach for connection.
You lean towards warmth.
You are soft and brave.
Now,
Slowly,
Bring your attention to your spine.
Don't think of it as a stack of bones.
Instead,
Think of it as a magical slide for your life force energy.
A shimmering river of stardust that runs from your roots up to your skyward crown.
Each vertebra a stepping stone across a glowing creek.
Perhaps you could wiggle a little,
Have a stretch.
Let it sigh like it's just remembered how to dance.
Now your shoulders.
Imagine them as two clouds made of whipped cream.
Let them puff up in a joyful inhale and melt like marshmallows in the fire on the exhale.
Let them soften beside your heart like sleepy foxes curling in for a nap.
Move your attention to your belly,
Your beautiful breathing belly.
It is a moon,
A drum,
A jellyfish riding the tides.
Let it rise and fall like a contented seal sunbathing on a warm rock.
Let it be free.
Let it jiggle.
Now your hands.
Oh,
Your hands.
Little gardens of sensation.
Wiggle your fingers like you're painting with glitter,
Sprinkling light into the world.
Feel how alive they are,
How curious,
How sensitive,
How full of stories.
Now your jaw.
That hardworking gait of words and wonder.
Let it soften.
Imagine it opening like a treasure chest in the sun.
Let your tongue rest like a sleepy kitten purring in a hammock.
As we move south to your hips.
Oh,
The hips.
You're built in maracas.
Sway them like seaweed in a warm current.
They remember rhythm.
They are the first drums you ever heard.
And even further south to your feet.
Those sweet paws of presence.
Wiggle your toes like they're tasting strawberries.
Let them feel the ground or the air.
Cool,
Real,
Alive.
You are a wildflower in bloom,
Rooted and radiant.
You're not just in your body.
You're dancing through it.
You're painting your presence across every cell.
Can you feel it?
That spark?
That giggle in your bones?
That's joy.
That's you.
Here you are.
Buzzing with breath.
Alive with sensation.
A constellation of stories wrapped in a skin.
You are a walking sunrise.
A shimmering being built for delight,
Made for presence.
There is a deep wisdom in your hands.
Grace in your spine.
And thousands of soft miracles blooming under your skin.
Soak in this feeling.
This hum of aliveness.
This utterly you,
One of a kind,
Can't-be-duplicated energy.
The world doesn't need perfection.
It celebrates your sparkle,
Your strangeness,
Your soul.
You,
Curious creature,
Are art in motion.
You are poetry with a pulse.
Let this glow ripple into everything you touch.
The way you move.
The way you laugh.
The way you notice tiny,
Wonderful things.
If the day surprises you,
Let it.
Because you've remembered something important.
This life is for feeling.
Your body is a compass.
And presence is the kind of magic you already hold.
Right here.
In this moment.
Anchored in your breath.
And as you tiptoe into the rest of your day,
Let your senses keep dancing.
Notice the colors,
Taste the air,
Feel the life fizzing under your skin.
And while you're here in your body,
Remember.
You are wildly,
Sensing,
Deliciously alive.
And beautifully,
Endlessly curious.
You're here to play.
Breathe that in one last time,
Through the nose.
Everything you are,
Hold it.
And out of the mouth,
Let it go.
Welcome back,
You glittering little miracle.
The world's been waiting for your next move.
Enjoy the rest of your moments.
See you next time.
