Welcome to this guided sleep meditation,
Wherever you are just allow yourself to relax,
To get comfortable and warm,
Settle your body,
Let your hands rest gently,
And softly close your eyes.
Take a slow steady breath in through your nose,
And a long full breath out through your mouth.
Again,
Inhale deeply through your nose,
And exhale fully.
Bring your awareness to the point between your eyes.
Allow yourself to just relax,
There's no pressure to feel or do anything here,
Just relax.
Let your awareness drop into your body,
Feel the support beneath you,
Feel the way your breath moves through you.
With each exhale,
Invite your body to soften even more.
Give yourself one more really big deep breath in through your nose,
Filling your whole lungs to the top,
And then really let it go on the exhale.
Allow to arrive in this moment,
There's nothing to fix or plan,
Nothing to do,
Your day is done,
You've done enough,
Then it's time to get some rest.
Bring your awareness to your body,
Feel the texture of your clothing,
The temperature of your skin,
Allow your shoulders to just drop,
Relax.
Let your jaw unclench,
Your hands and belly soften.
With each breath out,
Just keep letting your body melt a little more.
Allow gravity to hold you,
So you can release and restore through the night.
Feel a soft wave of calming golden light around your head,
Feel it sweep gently down your body,
From your crown down to your eyes,
Your mouth,
Through your whole head,
Your neck,
Your shoulders,
Your chest.
Feel it washing the day away,
Slowing everything down.
Feel it move down your arms,
Through your fingertips,
Down your spine,
Your back,
Your hips,
Down your legs,
Knees,
Into your feet,
And out through your toes.
Breathe in through your nose,
And allow your whole body to exhale.
Feel the light settle in and around you,
Like a warm,
Safe cocoon.
This light is here to soothe you,
And to wrap you in peace.
Just rest in this radiant stillness.
Trust that you are held by something greater,
By your breath,
By the earth,
By the sacred source of life.
You do not need to alone,
Dear one.
You are allowed to be here,
Exactly as you are,
Right here,
Right now,
Held and protected as you drift off into sleep.
