Listen to your body.
Lie down on your back in a comfy,
Quiet space.
Close your eyes,
Let your body be still,
And take a very slow,
Deep breath in through your nose,
Then back out again through your nose.
Make your breath be long and slow as it comes into your body and then slowly blow it back out again.
Now you are breathing deeply.
Can you feel the cool air come in through your nose and flow all the way down to your belly?
Feel your belly grow as you breathe in.
Notice how the breath feels as it softly flows in through the nose,
Into your throat,
And through the chest as it reaches further down all the way to your belly.
Feel your breath swirling around in your belly.
Feel your belly gently moving up and down as your breath flows in and out.
Doesn't it feel nice to be this calm and quiet after your busy day?
It's so good for our bodies and our minds to pause and enjoy some stillness for a few moments.
Do you see how calming your breath can make you feel?
Now let's listen very carefully and quietly to our bodies.
Can you hear your heart beating?
Can you hear your breath as you breathe slowly and calmly in and out?
Maybe your belly is gurgling or making noises.
Maybe everything is very,
Very quiet.
Just take a moment to be still and listen to the sounds of your own body.
When we pay attention to our breath,
We are exercising our superpower.
Pay attention to how you feel.
Your whole body is alive and full of energy.
Your breath is so special because it's part of that energy that flows in and out of you.
Allow your breath to fill up your whole body from your fingertips to your toes.
With each breath in,
You are sending energy into each and every cell,
Each and every muscle of your body.
Imagine that your breath now is spreading happiness and joy throughout your entire body.
You can actually feel your entire body smiling.
I'm going to be quiet now so you can take a few moments to enjoy that happy feeling flowing through every part of you.
When you're ready,
You can wiggle your arms and legs a little and then reach your arms overhead.
Give your body a big stretch.
Now gather your hands together in front of your heart.
All the good in me sees all the good inside you.
Namaste,
Little yogis.
