Close your eyes and see in your imagination.

It's a stormy night.

You are standing back from the beach,

Watching the waves roll in.

The waves are very strong,

Crashing against the shore.

Listen to the sound of the stormy waves.

You might hear thunder in the distance.

Looking far out across the sea,

You see lightning flashing in the clouds.

You might see clouds rolling through the sky,

Mirroring the waves below.

The sky lights up magnificently.

How are you feeling in this moment?

Notice your feelings.

Notice where in your body certain feelings seem to be.

Looking up on the cliff behind you,

You see an awesome lighthouse.

Its light is flickering on and off,

Casting shadows out to sea.

Curious,

You decide to explore the lighthouse and begin to walk toward it.

Reaching a small red door at its base,

You enter the hallway and start climbing the spiral staircase in front of you.

The door closes,

Muffling the sound of the wind,

Thunder and crashing waves.

Reaching the top,

You secure the lamp.

Watch as a gigantic beam of light pours out onto the rolling sea.

Sit down now at the base of the lamp.

Sit down and rest.

Allow yourself to be in the moment.

Listen to the sound of the distant wind and allow that sound to relax your body.

Take a couple of deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Good.

Sitting at the base of the lamp,

You begin to think about a problem that has been bothering you,

A challenge.

Think about something difficult you've had to work with lately.

Allow your mind to think about all of that thing that has been difficult.

What feelings go with this problem,

With this challenge?

Now as you're thinking about the problem,

Allow yourself to imagine that the problem is solved and that it's disappearing.

Realize that you have the answers.

Looking down at your hands,

Imagine that this challenge is resting in the palms of your hands.

Reach up into the light and release your challenge into the light.

Send it out into the beam of light and watch as it floats away from you.

Feel how strong you are as you send this challenge into the light.

Whisper to yourself,

I am strong.

I believe in me.

I am strong.

I believe in me.

I am strong.

I believe in me.

As you are watching the stormy sea,

You breathe in the air.

You can almost taste the salt from the sea.

As you watch,

The storm begins to quiet and the waves melt back down into the sea.

The water becomes calm and glassy.

Clouds overhead drift away and a brilliant moon radiates in the night sky.

You begin to feel very calm and relaxed.

Watch the beam of light reach far out into the sea,

Carving a clear,

Straight path on the water.

Your path is as clear as the beam of light.

Feel how strong and confident you are as you walk away from the lamp back down the staircase,

Out the red door and away from the lighthouse.

Sit quietly on the beach.

Listen to the quiet waves.

Even though you're not gazing into the light anymore,

You know it will always be there in your imagination.

You always carry the light within you in your heart.

This light reminds you of your strength.

It reminds you of your ability to stand strong in any storm that comes your way.

Now rest and relax,

Feeling your strength,

Feeling how confident you are.

You can open your eyes whenever you are ready.

Alands Mc Henry,

A glorious
