Find a comfortable and quiet place where you won't be disturbed.

And as you sit or lie down,

Gently close your eyes.

Take a deep breath in and then exhale slowly.

Let's begin by grounding ourselves in the present moment.

Feel the surface beneath you and the gentle rhythm of your breath.

As you inhale,

Imagine that you are drawing in positive energy.

And as you exhale,

Release any tension.

Now let's start by cultivating loving-kindness within your heart.

Repeat these phrases silently or if you wish,

You can whisper them softly.

May I be filled with love and kindness.

May I be at peace.

May I be well.

May I be happy.

Feel the warmth and compassion flowing within you.

Allow this love to envelop your entire being,

Filling you with tranquility and goodwill.

Now let's direct this loving-kindness towards someone you deeply care about.

Visualize their presence in your mind.

Repeat these phrases for them.

May you be filled with love and kindness.

May you be at peace.

May you be well.

May you be happy.

Imagine this love as a soft radiant light that surrounds your loved one,

Bringing them comfort,

Happiness and serenity.

Next extend your loving-kindness to someone you have neutral feelings for.

Someone you may see often but don't have a strong connection with.

Repeat these phrases for them.

May you be filled with love and kindness.

May you be at peace.

May you be well.

May you be happy.

Feel the warmth and connection you are creating even with someone you don't know well.

Let this love reach out to them,

Bringing them peace and goodwill.

Now let's extend your loving-kindness to all beings in the world,

To all living things.

Repeat these phrases for everyone.

May all beings be filled with love and kindness.

May all beings be at peace.

May all beings be well.

May all beings be happy.

Visualize a soft glowing light expanding,

Encompassing the entire world and all living creatures.

Feel the interconnectedness of all beings and the love you are sending out to the universe.

Now gently bring your awareness back to your breath.

Inhaling positivity and exhaling any remaining tension.

With each breath you are nurturing the love within you.

As we come to the end of this loving-kindness meditation,

Slowly open your eyes.
