This is Bailey Barber and I'm so grateful you are here with me tonight.
In this evening's practice I'll be sharing distance Reiki with you while guiding you through a deeply restorative yoga nidra practice.
This session is intentionally created to support and nourish your vagus nerve,
The body's gateway to calm,
Rest,
And rejuvenation,
So your whole body can sink into a state of comfort,
Peace,
And profound rest.
You'll be listening to my sound healing frequency music with Delta binaural beats at 0.
5 Hertz.
The music will continue for 10 hours to support sustained sleep.
My intention for our practice tonight is that you drift into deep sleep with ease and wake up in the morning feeling lighter,
Replenished,
And renewed.
So when you are ready,
Start to settle in to your comfortable position,
Lying in your bed with your pillows and blankets arranged so that you can rest easily.
Let your legs extend naturally and if it feels supportive you can place a pillow beneath your knees to support your lower back.
Allow your arms to rest beside you,
Palms open and relaxed,
Or in whatever position feels most nourishing to you.
Once you are all settled in,
Gently soften your eyelids,
Closing them down,
Bringing your awareness inwards.
Feel yourself sinking a little deeper into the surface beneath you,
Held fully,
Without effort.
There is nothing you need to do now.
Nowhere to be.
Just arriving softly in to rest.
Take a long slow inhale,
Letting your chest and belly fully expand with this breath,
Pausing at the top and gently exhaling all of the air out,
Allowing your shoulders to melt,
Your jaw to soften,
And your whole body start to unwind.
Let your breath find its natural relaxed rhythm,
Smooth and unrushed,
And bring your awareness now to your heart space,
Quiet,
Steady,
And full of your inner wisdom.
It is in the heart space that you can offer your sankalpa,
Your heartfelt intention for our practice.
A simple present tense phrase that supports your well-being,
Like I am calm,
I am safe to sleep,
I sleep peacefully.
Repeat it silently three times,
Letting the meaning and vibration of the words settle into your nervous system and your energy body.
And as I begin to send you distance Reiki now,
Imagine a gentle stream of Reiki light entering the crown of your head.
A soft peaceful glow,
Warm and soothing,
Ready to look after you tonight while you sleep.
This healing energy slowly begins to wash over your scalp,
Unwinding tension from your forehead,
Your temples,
Your jaw.
You feel your thoughts quiet,
Your eyes grow heavier,
Your tongue soften away from the roof of your mouth,
And the Reiki energy continues downwards into your neck and shoulders,
Melting away the weight and heaviness of the day,
Creating soft spaciousness where tightness once lived.
Your arms grow heavy,
Your hands relaxed,
Warm and open,
Your fingers completely at ease.
As this gentle healing energy moves into your chest,
Softening and expanding your heart space,
Bringing comfort and care,
Helping you to breathe deeper and easier.
It flows down into your ribs,
Your belly,
Your lower back.
Everything it touches,
It helps to soften,
Loosen,
Unwinding the body,
Helping it surrender to deep rest.
The Reiki light travels into your hips and pelvis,
Releasing stored tension,
Helping the body feel safe to soften and let go.
Your upper legs grow heavy and warm,
Your knees relaxed,
Your calves soften,
And the Reiki light flows all the way into your ankles,
Your feet,
Your toes,
Softening and soothing every last muscle until your entire body is bathed in a field of gentle,
Healing Reiki light,
Held in a peaceful,
Nurturing stillness.
Nothing to hold,
Nothing to fix.
Your body and your nervous system understands it's safe to rest here.
You are wrapped in comfort.
You are supported by this healing energy.
You are free to drift into deep sleep.

The embers pulsing like the steady heartbeat of the mountains,
The air is crisp and cool yet the warmth around you wraps your body in complete comfort,
Each breath feels like inhaling peace,
And each exhale melts away any lingering tension,
Your shoulders softening,
Your belly loosening,
Your thoughts quieting,
And outside the window the night sky stretches wide above you,
Brilliant stars hanging above the rugged silhouettes of the mountains,
Their glow pours like liquid silver spreading calm through the room,
The stars whisper to you,
You are safe here,
You are secure,
All is well,
You can rest now,
There's nothing to do,
Nowhere to be,
No need to do anything except be supported by this comforting space,
Feel the warm wooden walls around you,
Your protective shelter,
Feel the earth beneath the cabin,
Solid,
Ancient,
Steady,
This is a place where your body can release,
Your mind can soften,
And your spirit can breathe freely,
You are warm,
You are held,
You are softly drifting to sleep,
The mountains keep watch over you,
The fire keeps you warm,
And you may sleep now.
