This is Bailey Barber and I'm so grateful you're here with me this evening.
In this session tonight,
I will be sending you distance Reiki while guiding you through a yoga nidra practice specifically designed to activate your vagus nerve,
To bring you into deep relaxation,
To prepare your body,
Mind and spirit for deep rest.
My sound healing music with delta binaural beats will continue to play for 10 hours.
I hope this practice brings you a beautiful night's rest and that you wake up feeling refreshed,
Restored and at ease tomorrow.
This session is designed to support and activate your vagus nerve through the combined practices of yoga nidra,
Reiki and sound healing.
Yoga nidra guides your mind into a deeply restful state where the nervous system can shift into safety.
Reiki provides a gentle stream of healing energy that soothes the body and releases tension.
And the calming frequencies in the music help to slow the brainwaves into the delta state,
Signaling to the vagus nerve that it is safe to soften,
Unwind and enter deep parasympathetic healing.
Together these practices create a powerful container for rest,
Regulation and renewal.
So when you are ready,
Begin to settle into your comfortable position,
Perhaps lying on your back.
Allow your legs to stretch out naturally in whatever position is most comfortable for you.
If it feels good,
You can place a pillow beneath your knees or support under your lower back.
Let your arms rest comfortably,
Perhaps at your sides,
Palms open and relaxed.
And gently arrange your blanket and pillow so that you are feeling as comfortable and supported as possible.
And once you are all settled in,
Gently close down your eyes,
Bringing your awareness into your inner landscape.
Feel yourself sinking a little deeper into the support beneath you.
Feel the surface holding your weight with ease.
There is nothing you need to do now,
Nowhere you need to be.
Just arriving gently into this present moment,
Into this preparation for deep rest.
Take a slow,
Deep inhale,
Feeling the breath expand gently through your chest and belly.
And then exhale,
Letting the whole body soften and loosen.
And bringing your awareness to your heart space,
Breathe into your heart space.
Feel your heart space begin to open and expand.
And then gently exhale,
Letting go of anything that is no longer serving you,
Feeling your heart space soften and release.
And again,
Breathing into your heart space,
Feeling it expand and open.
And now with your awareness at your heart space,
Bring to mind your sankalpa for our practice this evening,
Which is your heartfelt intention.
A simple,
Present tense statement that supports you for your highest good.
You may choose something like,
I am calm,
I am safe,
I sleep peacefully.
Whatever arises is perfect for you.
And repeat it silently three times,
Letting it settle gently into your heart space.
And as we begin our yoga nidra practice,
I am going to begin sending you distance reiki.
And I invite you to imagine with me,
There is a soft sphere of reiki light gently floating above the crown of your head and filled with a peaceful glow.
And this light begins to descend,
Bringing calm and comfort and a sense of being deeply cared for.
The reiki light settles first at your crown chakra,
At the top of your head,
Inviting a sense of openness,
Spaciousness and quiet clarity.
It moves gently to your third eye chakra,
At the center of your forehead.
Softening the brow,
Relaxing the eyes and easing the mind into stillness.
The light drifts down to your throat chakra,
Soothing the muscles of your neck and throat,
Releasing tension and creating more space for easeful breath.
It continues into your heart chakra,
In the center of your chest,
Gently expanding warmth,
Warmth,
Compassion and a sense of deep emotional safety.
The reiki light fills your solar plexus chakra and your upper abdomen,
Calming your center of strength and helping your vagus nerve soften into peace.
It moves downward into your sacral chakra in the lower belly,
Dissolving any emotional heaviness and allowing your body to unwind with a sense of fluid,
Gentle release.
The light settles at your root chakra,
At the base of your spine,
Grounding you deeply,
Creating a sense of stability,
Security and support,
Helping you to feel held by the earth beneath you,
Allowing you to fully let go and drift off to sleep.
Now this reiki light begins to expand outward,
Flowing slowly and easily out your shoulders,
Your upper arms,
Your elbows,
Wrists,
Hands and all the way out the tips of your fingers.
It flows easily down your hips,
Ankles,
All the way to the tips of your toes.
Then the light widens around you,
Forming a cocoon of warmth,
Safety and healing.
Your entire being is wrapped in this gentle energy.
Your body understands it is safe to rest.
Your mind understands it is safe to let go and your nervous system drifts into deep peace.
You are protected.
You are supported.
You are free to fall into deep,
Peaceful sleep.
Now gently move your awareness slowly with me,
Allowing the energy to flow with your intention.

Imagine now that you are resting in a quiet forest grove at night.
A hidden sanctuary where the world feels peaceful,
Gentle and still.
Beneath you the earth is warm and supportive.
Soft moss cushions your body.
The earth holding you with a comforting,
Grounded embrace.
Tall trees stand around you like ancient guardians.
Their trunks strong.
Their branches reaching towards the night sky.
Their leaves whisper softly with a night breeze.
Creating a soothing,
Natural lullaby.
As you settle here,
Notice how each breath helps your body soften just a little more.
Your muscles loosening.
Your nervous system melting into ease.
Above the treetops,
The night sky opens wide.
Endless.
Full of stars that shimmer through the branches.
Like tiny crystals of light.
Glittering in the spaces between the leaves.
Some twinkle brightly.
Others glow with a soft,
Steady radiance.
As if they are guarding over you as well.
The Milky Way stretches above the grove.
A wide,
Silver river flowing across the heavens.
Its light filters through the canopy,
Casting delicate patterns on the forest floor around you.
As the glow touches your skin,
You feel a sense of wonder.
A deep,
Peaceful belonging among the stars.
A gentle breeze drifts across your face.
A soft kiss from the night.
And the forest seems to whisper,
You are safe here.
You can rest now.
There is nothing you need to do.
No effort to make.
Just allowing yourself to be held by the trees,
By the earth,
By the quiet sky above you.
Feel the forest wrapping around you like a warm blanket.
Feel the stars shimmering gently overhead.
Casting their healing glow down to you.
You are resting in a sanctuary of nature,
Where your body can release.
Your mind can soften and your spirit can rest peacefully.
Let the sounds around you,
The soft rustling leaves,
The distant night song of crickets,
The slow rhythm of your breath,
Guide you deeper and deeper into a quiet stillness.
Just seeking into comfort,
Into calm,
Into the gentle rhythm of sleep.
You are safe.
You are held.
You are whole.
And now you can let yourself drift slowly,
Effortlessly,
Into deep,
Peaceful sleep.
