Find a comfortable position.
You can sit upright or lie down.
Let your hands rest naturally.
Gently close your eyes.
Take a slow breath in through the nose,
And a soft breath out through the mouth.
Let yourself arrive to be in this moment.
Again,
Breathing in,
Letting the ribs expand outwards,
And breathing out.
Nothing to fix,
Nothing to solve,
Just this breath.
Letting your shoulders drop,
Softening your jaw,
Letting the edges of your eyes melt.
You may not have all the answers.
You might not know which way to go.
Just notice what it feels like to admit that.
Take a slightly deeper inhale,
And a slower,
Longer exhale.
There is something honest about not knowing.
You might stumble,
You might trip,
You might fall,
And still,
You are breathing.
Feel that.
Breathing is happening,
Even here.
Let your breath settle into its natural rhythm.
Exhale.
You don't have to control it.
You don't have to earn it.
It simply continues.
You gotta believe you'll make it through.
Not as pressure,
Not as force,
But as quiet willingness.
Let the inhale carry that possibility.
I am willing.
And let the exhale soften resistance.
Breathing in,
Maybe I will.
Breathing out,
Maybe I will.
Softening the jaw,
Softening the shoulders,
Softening or maybe getting a little bit more comfortable.
Now gently bring to mind something that feels heavy right now.
Not the biggest thing,
Just something real.
Notice what happens in your body.
Does your breath tighten?
Does your chest harden?
Just observe.
Now,
Without trying to fix it,
Let the breath move through that place.
Inhale gently into the heaviness.
Exhale slowly out of it.
With hardship comes ease.
Notice how the inhale naturally follows the exhale.
Now,
Effort,
Release.
Effort,
Release.
Hardship,
Ease.
There are things you've lived through that no one else fully understands.
Moments only your eyes have seen.
Feelings only your heart has ever held.
Let yourself acknowledge that.
And also notice every human being carries unseen moments.
Everyone undergoes difficulty.
Everyone faces challenges.
You are not alone in the human experience.
Let the breath connect you to that shared humanity.
Breathing in,
You are a part of life.
Breathing out,
Life moves through you.
Sometimes it's hard to step forward.
Sometimes it feels easier to stay still.
Notice that.
And then gently ask yourself,
What would one soft step feel like?
Not a leap.
Not perfection.
Just one step.
Let the inhale gather quiet courage.
Let the exhale release fear.
With hardship comes ease.
Not because hardship disappears,
But because something in you continues.
The human spirit makes it through.
Your spirit makes it through.
Take one more slow,
Steady breath in.
And a full,
Unhurried breath out.
Have faith,
Not as blind hope,
But as trust in the rhythm that has never stopped.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
You will continue.
And you will continue.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes and carry this breath with you.
Thank you.
