If small things suddenly feel overwhelming lately — noise, clutter, interruptions, conflict, or everyday stress — your nervous system may be carrying more than you realize. In this video, I talk about how chronic stress, burnout, poor sleep, emotional overload, neurodivergent overwhelm, caregiving fatigue, and perimenopause can shrink your “window of tolerance,” making smaller stressors feel much bigger emotionally and physically. We’ll explore nervous system overload, emotional reactivity, irritability, sensory sensitivity, emotional flooding, and why tiny triggers can suddenly feel so intense. This is not about being weak or “too sensitive.” Often, it’s a sign that your nervous system is overloaded and needs support, regulation, and recovery. If this resonates with you, I also have guided meditations on Insight Timer including: “Before You Sleep: A Gentle Reset For Emotional Overwhelm” & “Morning Reset: Start Day With A Regulated Nervous System”
