Welcome,

Beautiful souls,

To this guided meditation where today we are going to honour the energies of the autumn equinox.

So get yourself in a comfortable position,

Lie or sit down somewhere where you won't be disturbed,

Where this time is just for you.

Now close your eyes or let them soften and take a slow deep breath in through your nose and slowly exhale through your mouth.

Take another slow deep breath in and then slowly exhale,

Releasing any tension in your body as you do.

And take one more slow steady breath in and as you let go of that breath exhale anything that no longer serves your highest good.

And now visualize yourself sitting at the edge of an ancient forest on this beautiful autumn equinox.

The air is crisp and cool.

You feel steady,

Supported and held by the earth beneath you and as you take another deep breath in and exhale you can smell the earthy scent of fallen leaves.

Now step in to this beautiful forest,

Red,

Gold and amber leaves crunch softly beneath your feet.

And as you walk the sunlight filters through the branches of the ancient trees,

Casting gentle patterns of light and shadow.

And as you walk you notice how the trees release their leaves with ease,

Letting go without struggle.

Each leaf drifts down,

Surrendering to the season,

Embracing this moment of transformation,

Completely trusting in the flow of life.

Allow these leaves now to remind you that letting go is a natural part of life.

That there is a natural time to release what no longer serves us.

That there is space and healing and beauty in letting go.

Take a deep breath in,

Receiving the wisdom of these trees and exhale once more,

Releasing what you no longer need.

You come now to a quiet clearing in this beautiful forest and at its centre stands a huge ancient tree.

Its branches reach high up into the sky,

Its roots deep down into the earth below.

You can feel the energy of balance from this tree,

Its light and dark,

Its stillness and its growth.

Stand before this ancient tree now and soak in the energy of its wisdom and reflect on your life.

Where could you be invited to find more balance now?

Breathe in deeply,

Drawing harmony and steadiness from the earth up into your being and as you exhale out,

Letting go of anything that feels too heavy to carry or feels out of alignment.

The autumn equinox reminds us day and night are equal in complete harmony and so within us too there is complete harmony when we allow it.

Imagine yourself now as one of these ancient beautiful trees.

You stand firm in the earth,

Rooted and safe in the ground.

Inhale once more and with each breath out,

Feel yourself releasing what no longer serves you.

Old patterns,

Fears or worries,

Let them drift away from you as you exhale,

Falling away from your energy like autumn leaves,

Falling effortlessly,

Softly to the ground and with each leaf that falls,

You feel lighter,

You feel more free,

You let go.

This forest is abundant,

Trees,

Seeds,

Acorns scattered across the ground.

They remind us that even in letting go,

There is richness,

Beauty and harvest.

As you stand here now,

Reflect for a moment what blessings and abundance exist in your life at this moment.

Allow gratitude to fill your heart as you count your many blessings and take another deep breath in and breathe in this feeling of gratitude and exhale this feeling of gratitude,

Sending it out into the whole forest and into the whole world.

Now for us to leave this beautiful peaceful place but know that you can come back here at any moment.

So take a final deep breath in,

Feeling balance,

Release and gratitude within you.

And as you exhale,

Slowly bring your awareness back to your body.

Begin to gently move your fingers and your toes,

Stretch out your muscles and open your eyes when you are ready.

May you carry the gifts of autumn equinox with you and may this season bring you peace,

Balance.
