Deep rest.
Before our sleep meditation begins,
Take your time to get cozy and settled into your bed.
When you're ready,
Close your eyes.
Take a nice,
Deep inhale in through your nose,
Hold it gently,
And exhale out through your mouth.
Let's do that again.
Inhale,
Hold.
Repeat this any time your mind wanders as an anchor to return back to the present moment.
Allow your breath to lead the way.
You have everything you need inside of you to ground in the present moment.
Free yourself of judgment.
Allow yourself just to be.
In this deep sleep meditation,
I will guide you to your own personal dreamland,
A peaceful place where anything is possible.
Now follow the sound of my voice and let's begin.
Notice your body begin to sink into your bed as if your mattress is rising up to hold you.
Feel yourself let go as calm takes over.
There is nowhere else you need to be.
Nothing you need to do.
Just this moment,
This breath.
As gravity takes over,
Feel yourself let go just a little.
Feel yourself supported.
Now bring your attention to the very top of your head.
Imagine a soft,
Warm light there,
Like a gentle glow spilling down from the sky.
This light is here to soothe you,
To bathe your every cell in calm.
Notice the light move slowly down your scalp,
Across your forehead,
Releasing any tension between your eyebrows.
Notice any sensations that arise with loving kindness as the light blows through you.
Feel it ease your jaw.
Allow your lips to part.
Notice the light drift into your neck and feel it melt away the burden you've been holding.
Imagine each muscle softening as if the light itself is whispering,
You are safe.
Through your elbows,
You may notice a gentle tingling or warmth.
These are sensations of loving gratitude from your body to your soul.
Feel as the light brings your awareness to your chest.
Notice the rise and fall of each breath.
Imagine the light swirling around your heart.
Sink in as it cradles your grief.
Your emotions do not need to be fixed.
Notice as the light moves down into your belly,
Soothing every part of your core,
Relaxing your stomach,
Your hips.
If there is pain,
Feel it surrounded by this healing,
Loving light.
Now feel the light trickle down your legs.
You're softening as it flows through your calves,
All the way down to your feet and toes.
Your entire body is now bathed in calm.
Picture yourself floating on a soft,
Pillowy cloud.
As the cloud rises slowly into the sky,
It carries you to a beautiful,
Majestic landscape.
A place where your soul dances freely.
Maybe it's a quiet forest at twilight.
Or a beach with warm waves lapping at the shore.
Or a soft field of tall grass under a sky full of stars.
Feel this place come to life.
Take a moment to look around.
Bask in this magnificent reflection of your deepest peace.
Notice your breath deepen.
Feel your heart soften.
You've discovered a resting place.
What do you see?
Is it a hammock held up by surrounding trees?
A nest of blankets under a sea of shooting stars?
Sink into your peaceful nook and allow yourself to be cradled in calm.
Feel your body relax even more deeply.
A gentle breeze brushes over you.
Whispering love and light into this gentle hug to your soul.
Carried by all those who love you,
Past and present.
Their love is stitched into the fabric of this dreamland.
Allow yourself to drift even deeper.
Thoughts may come,
And that's okay.
Just return to your breath.
Feel each breath take you further into stillness.
Further into sleep.
And as the music continues,
You may hear my voice begin to speak.
There is no wrong way to rest.
Where your soul dances and spirit exhales.
Feel yourself letting go.
You are safe.
You are loved.
