Let's prepare to meditate.
Adjust your body so that you are comfortable.
Close your eyes.
Rest your hands in any way that is comfortable for you.
Take a nice filling breath in.
Breathe in deeply through your nose and breathe out slowly through your mouth.
Do this again.
Now when you exhale,
Breathe out with a long sigh.
Continue this breathing a few more times to settle your mind and body.
You are ready to begin.
You find yourself in a green field,
Walking along a cobblestone path.
It's a beautiful warm summer's day.
In the sky,
Birds sing and play among the big white fluffy clouds.
You notice ahead of you that the path comes to an end,
But at the end of the path there is a well,
A wishing well.
You reach into your pocket and wrap your fingers around a handful of coins.
You smile and approach the side of the well.
It is said that by making a wish and tossing a coin down the well,
Your wish will surely come true.
You take a coin out of your pocket and squeeze it tightly in your hand.
In that moment,
You decide to make some wishes for others before you make a wish for yourself.
Start by making a wish that you would hope would come true for your parents or guardians.
Make a wish for your parents or guardians,
Then throw the coin into the well.
You reach back into your pocket for a new coin.
Now make a wish for a friend.
When you're ready,
Toss in the coin.
Use another coin to make a wish for your school.
Use a coin to make a wish for the animals of our planet.
Now make a wish for the whole world.
You reach into your pocket and notice that there are four coins left.
The next three are for you.
Now,
Make a wish for yourself and toss it into the well.
Now make a second wish for yourself and toss in the coin.
With the third coin,
Make a wish for your future,
A wish for when you're all grown up.
What is a wish that you have for the older you?
You peek over the edge of the well and look inside.
The water at the bottom of the well is sparkling with gold and silver with the power and magic of all your wishes.
There is just one coin left.
You decide to leave it on the edge of the wishing well for the next person who might find it,
So they too can have a wish come true.
As our meditation comes to a close,
Draw your attention back to your real body.
Notice and feel where your body is touching the floor or chair.
Wiggle your fingers,
Wiggle your toes.
Take a deep breath.
Now go ahead and stretch out your body in any way that feels good to you.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes.
Now go out and find all that's good in your day.
