Explore MeditationNicole “Nikki” Ocean is a peer recovery guide, retired executive, smooth jazz electronic music artist and former certified real estate instructor and coach who brings her whole heart and lived experience to her work. As someone who is disabled and neurodivergent, Nikki integrates mindfulness, creativity, and compassion into everything she shares. In long-term recovery herself, her journey includes healing from and living with an eating disorder, chronic illness, OCD, cancer survivorship, and complex trauma, experiences that have shaped her into a gentle guide for others walking their own paths of recovery and renewal. An advocate for EMDR therapy, mindfulness practice, and anti-diet culture principles, Nikki believes in empowering others to build self-trust, redefine recovery on their own terms, and reconnect with the parts of themselves that feel most alive and whole. In 2022, she made the life-changing decision to choose health over money by selling her businesses and her beachside condo in Florida to devote herself fully to treatment, rest, self-development, and healing. Through her work on Insight Timer, Nikki hopes to help others find peace, self-acceptance, and a path to recovery that works on their own terms, cultivating the courage to create a life rooted in authenticity and self-compassion.
