This meditation invites you into a soft,
Spacious reunion with your inner child.
Through gentle visualization,
You'll reconnect with a younger part of yourself,
Meeting them with love,
Curiosity,
And compassion.
Let's begin.
Welcome.
This space is just for you.
A moment to soften,
To slow down,
And reconnect with a part of you that may have been waiting,
Patiently,
Quietly,
To be seen.
Let your body settle into comfort.
You might be seated or lying down.
Whatever allows your nervous system to release its grip.
Let your breath come gently,
In and out.
You don't need to do anything right now.
You are already here and that is enough.
Begin to bring awareness to your breath.
Let it move without effort.
Just feel the gentle rhythm of your inhale and your exhale.
Now,
Let your attention drop into the body.
Notice what's present,
Not with judgment,
But with curiosity.
Where are you holding?
What areas feel soft?
Let yourself arrive,
Breath by breath,
Sensation by sensation.
If it feels good,
Place one hand on your heart and one on your belly.
Feel the warmth of your own presence.
You are here with you.
And now,
In your mind's eye,
Imagine a younger version of you.
Maybe they're three years old or seven or twelve.
Trust whatever age arises first.
This is your inner child,
A real tender part of you.
There's no need to force anything.
Just notice.
What age appears?
Where is this child?
What does this child look like?
What are they wearing?
What is the expression on their face?
Let this be a gentle reunion.
As you witness this child,
You might say quietly in your heart,
I see you.
I am here with you.
You are safe.
Begin to sense what this child part of you most needs in this moment.
Do they need to be held?
Do they need to play?
Do they want to be heard?
Just listen.
Witness.
Let the child show you.
Maybe what they show you arises in a felt sense,
In a feeling,
In words,
Or in images.
There's no agenda.
There's no right way to connect.
And there is no rush.
You are simply making space for this child,
For you,
For the reconnection that heals.
You might quietly say to yourself,
To this child,
You don't have to carry the weight alone anymore.
You are not too much.
You are so deeply loved.
Allow your present-day adult self to be the steady,
Loving presence that perhaps you may once have longed for.
Let this child know,
I've got you now.
And when this moment feels complete,
Whether your inner child wants to stay,
Or go play,
Or rest,
You can gently offer them a parting image.
Maybe you wrap them in a warm blanket,
Or you tuck them into your heart,
Or you invite them to walk beside you,
Hand in hand.
Know that they are always with you,
No longer alone,
No longer hidden,
No longer even in the past.
You have reconnected.
You have remembered.
Take a deep breath in,
And breathe out.
Begin to come back to your body in the present moment.
Wiggle your fingers,
Move your toes,
Notice the weight of your body and how it is supported by what is beneath you.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes or simply lift your gaze.
Connect to your heart and carry this tenderness with you.
And know you are always healing simply by choosing to show up.
Thank you for being here.
