Kinhin Zen Walking Meditation
by Greg Fellman
Kinhin, or Zen walking meditation, is the practice of bringing mindful awareness into movement. Rather than walking to reach a destination, each step becomes an opportunity to arrive fully in the present moment. In this guided meditation, you'll move slowly and deliberately, synchronizing your awareness with the natural rhythm of walking and breathing. As your feet connect with the earth, you'll cultivate steadiness, balance, and a quiet, attentive mind. Kinhin is traditionally practiced between periods of seated meditation, but it can also be a complete meditation in itself. Whether practiced indoors or outside in nature, it offers a gentle way to release mental tension, reconnect with the body, and discover stillness within movement. Wherever your path leads, let each step become an expression of presence, grounding, and peace.
