Beloved,
Hello.
I am Christinette and what you're about to hear is not meditation in the way that you are accustomed.
These instead are invitations,
Not instructions or techniques,
Not steps to follow,
Just companionship for the moments when you cannot follow anything at all.
I created these because I know what it feels like to be so disconnected from yourself that the words just breathe feel impossible.
To have a mind racing so fast that guided meditation sound like noise.
To feel so numb that you can't track sensations in your body.
If that's you then these are invitations for you to just listen.
They ask nothing of you.
They ask not for you to feel better or calm down or find your center.
They just sit with you exactly where you are.
Each invitation for each different phase or place you may find yourself.
Whether numb or activated or fragmented or in a state of grief.
What I've learned through years of feeling untethered,
Through the silence that came when everything else fell away,
Is that sometimes we don't need to be guided somewhere better.
We need to be met right where we are.
These invitations come from a place I call the womb's place.
A space not as a gendered concept but as the memory every human carries.
The first we were held.
Before breath.
Before thought.
Before we learned to hold ourselves together.
And woven through each invitation is gravity.
Not gravity as a force pulling you down but gravity instead holding you.
As the first holder,
Carrier,
Mother,
Womb space.
The one who holds the atmosphere to your skin.
Who keeps you here connected to the earth even when you feel most alone.
This is a space to allow your body to remember what your mind has forgotten.
There's no right way to listen.
No right way to sit or lie down or even move.
Just an invitation to listen.
To pause when needed.
To return when desired.
An invitation.
These are not practices to master.
They're not really for anything.
Just a reminder that you are held.
That you have always been held.
That even in your hardest moments the holding has nothing left.
So choose an invitation that calls to you.
Or let one find you.
I'm here sitting with you in whatever state you're in.
Nothing to fix.
Nothing to achieve.
Just being held together in this gentle loving space.
