Henley.
Thank you for being here.
Take a moment to become still.
If something has happened that has stirred you up.
A message,
A conversation,
A comment someone made or a disagreement know that you do not have to respond immediately.
These next couple of minutes,
Give yourself permission to pause.
Take a slow breath in.
And let it go.
Notice where the reaction is showing up in your body,
Maybe there is a tightness in the chest,
Tension in the jaw,
A warmth in the face or a restless urge just to do something.
You do not need to change any of that,
But just notice.
Feel the support you have beneath you and let your shoulders soften a little,
And take another steady breath.
Now notice the space between,
What has happened?
And what you do next.
Indeed,
There is room here.
You can feel something very strongly without immediately acting from it.
You can be angry without sending that message.
You are allowed to be hurt without making the decision.
And frustrated without saying that first thing that comes to your mind.
Let the first wave just move through.
Breathing in.
.
.
And breathing out.
Ask yourself inwardly.
What response would I feel at peace with later?
Do not need an answer straight away just let that question sit with you,
What response would I feel at peace with later?
Perhaps what is needed is a response.
Perhaps it is a little more time.
Or perhaps the wisest thing you can do right now is nothing at all.
Take one more slow breath in.
And as you breathe out,
Release any pressure to react.
You can return to this situation when you are steadier and when you are clearer.
When that first wave of intensity has passed you.
Now coming back into the room again feeling your feet,
Your hands and the support beneath you and when you are ready.
Open your eyes,
Carry this pause with you.
You do not have to answer everything in the moment it arrives.
Have a beautiful rest of your day.
Go in peace.
Namaste.
