Hey and welcome.

Thank you so much for clicking on this track.

My name is Mark Rowland.

And today I have a simple but really powerful meditation hack.

A trick to help you clear your mind and quiet your thoughts fast if they're racing or you're ruminating on something that you just keep going round in circles with.

This simple technique can help you quiet the storm and just be.

Let's begin by taking a gentle deep breath in and slowly breathe it out.

Now relax your body.

Soften your face,

Your shoulders.

Let go of any tension.

Particularly in your jaw if you're sitting up.

And in your mind,

Mentally and silently,

Ask yourself this question.

Softly but with curiosity.

I wonder what my next thought is going to be.

And that's it.

Just wait.

Just that one question.

I wonder what my next thought is going to be.

Notice the stillness that follows.

No need to chase anything.

Just stay with that space that opens up.

If a thought does come,

That's okay.

Just gently ask again.

I wonder what my next thought is going to be.

Each time a little more quiet,

A little more peace.

And let that space expand,

Even if only for a moment.

And when you're ready,

Take one more deep breath in and out.

I love this little trick.

It's helped me a lot when I have racing thoughts and I just need to slow down my mind a little.

Let me know how it works for you in the comments and,

If you find it helpful,

Have a brilliant rest of your day and I'll see you soon.

Namaste.
