Today we gather to honor the gift of gratitude.
Take a moment to settle in.
Feel your body supported beneath you.
Adjust your position so your spine is long,
Your chest open,
And your breath unhurried.
Allow your eyes to close gently.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in through the nose and release it softly out the mouth.
Again,
Breathe in deeply,
Filling your lungs with life,
And exhale fully,
Letting go.
One more time,
Inhale deeply.
Hold it for a moment and release.
Bring awareness to the crown of your head.
Imagine a warm golden light resting there,
Soft and gentle.
With each breath,
This light pours down over your forehead,
Your eyes,
Your cheeks,
The jaw,
Melting away tension.
It travels into your neck,
Your shoulders,
Your arms,
And hands,
Down into your chest,
Softening the heart space.
Into your belly,
Hips,
Thighs,
Legs,
And finally your feet.
Now imagine,
From the soles of your feet,
Strong roots growing down into the soil.
They travel deeper and deeper into the cool,
Nourishing earth.
Feel the earth holding you,
Grounding you,
Supporting you completely.
Bring awareness to your heart center.
Place your hand gently over your chest if that feels comfortable,
And visualize a glowing ember of light resting there.
With every inhale,
The ember grows brighter.
With every exhale,
It expands gently,
Filling your chest.
Now call to mind one simple thing you are grateful for today.
It could be a warm meal,
A kind word,
Or the comfort of just being where you are right now in this moment.
See this gratitude as golden light filling your heart.
Let more blessings come,
Moments of kindness,
Lessons learned,
Laughter,
Resilience.
Each memory becomes a spark of golden light,
Filling your being with warmth and peace.
Now imagine yourself walking barefoot through a lush green meadow.
The grass is soft beneath your feet,
Cool with morning dew.
The air is fragrant with wildflowers.
A gentle breeze brushes against your skin.
Above you,
The sky glows with the first light of sunrise.
Soft pinks,
Golds,
And lavender splash across the sky.
You walk slowly,
Deeply present.
Ahead,
A great oak tree rises,
Majestic and wise.
This is the tree of gratitude.
Its branches are heavy with glowing fruit.
Each fruit represents a blessing in your life.
Love,
Friendship,
Health,
Shelter,
Wisdom,
Growth.
Reach out and take one fruit gently in your hand.
Hold it close to your heart.
Feel its energy filling you with thankfulness.
Then gently return it to the tree,
Offering your gratitude back to the universe.
Take some time now to explore the tree,
Whispering thank you for each blessing you notice.
Now step back.
The entire tree begins to shimmer with golden light.

That light flows down into you,
Filling your heart,
Your body,
Your spirit.
Gratitude is not separate.
It is the life force flowing through all things.
Let us anchor this gratitude within and repeat softly in your mind after me,
Allowing each phrase to echo in your mind.
I am grateful for this breath.
I am grateful for this moment.
I am grateful for the love that surrounds me.
I am grateful for the lessons I have learned.
I am grateful for the abundance flowing into my life.
Feel these words becoming part of you,
Settling into your cells,
Your heart,
Your soul.
Your golden heart light expands outward,
Filling the room,
Stretching across your community,
And wrapping the entire world in warmth.
Now I invite you to slowly allow your body to rest fully in Shavasana.
Allow your arms to gently rest at your sides,
Palms facing up to receive,
Legs extended comfortably.
Adjust yourself until you feel supported and comfortable.
As you rest here,
Know there is nothing to do,
Nothing to achieve.
Simply be.
Let the gratitude you have cultivated settle deeply into your body like seeds planted in rich soil.
Listen to the background music during this time of rest and allow soft ears to hear and an open heart to receive.
Remain here in stillness,
Resting deeply as gratitude integrates into every layer of your being.
Begin to bring your awareness back to your breath.
Notice its gentle rhythm.
Feel the support beneath you.
Take a deep breath in to help reawaken the body and slowly exhale with a sigh if that feels right to you.
Begin to wiggle fingers and toes,
Yawn and stretch in whatever way serves you well.
When you are ready,
Bring your hands to your heart.
Bow your head gently honoring yourself,
Your journey and all the blessings that walk with you.
Take one final deep nourishing breath and whisper softly,
Thank you.
When you are ready,
Open your eyes,
Carrying this gratitude with you into the world.
