Welcome.
Take a moment to settle into a comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down.
Gently close your eyes and take a slow breath in through the nose and exhale softly through the mouth.
Allow your attention to rest on the natural rhythm of your breathing.
There's nothing you need to change.
Now bring your awareness to the top of your head.
Imagine a gentle sense of warmth or ease beginning there.
As you breathe,
Allow this feeling to move slowly downward through your body,
Through your face,
Your neck and shoulders,
Letting any tension soften as it goes.
Allow this sense of ease to continue through your chest and arms,
Through your abdomen and lower back and down into your hips,
Legs and feet.
If your mind wanders,
Gently bring it back to the sensation of breath and the feeling of settling.
Take one more slow breath in and a full,
Unhurried breath out.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
