You will be guided through a visulisation meditation where you picture yourself as a sturdy tree, with roots extending deep into the earth. This meditation is aimed at balancing the Root chakra which helps to centre and ground you helping sooth a busy mind. This is a great meditation to do for your root chakra.

So finding yourself a position of comfort and ease with your feet connected to the earth beneath you.

Allowing the spine to be nice and long.

And take some breaths in and out.

Breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth.

And as you breathe in,

Feeling the abdomen expand.

As you breathe out,

Releasing,

Letting go.

Allowing the eyes to comfortably close.

The jaw relaxes.

Allowing the shoulders to drop down and away from the ears.

Awareness down to the wrists,

Hands,

Fingers and thumbs.

Back up the arms,

Scanning down to the ribs,

Chest.

And feeling that sense of relaxation spreading down the back of the body,

Down to the pelvis.

Relaxing and letting go of the upper legs,

Knees,

Lower legs,

Ankles,

Feet and toes.

You feel the connection of the earth beneath you and know you are safe and well.

Imagine now roots growing out of your feet.

Growing down through the surface beneath you,

Through the rocks,

The soil.

Travelling deeper and deeper down now.

Deeper and deeper down until you reach the centre of the earth.

You feel the earth securing you and stabilising you.

Feeling safe and secure.

You are rooted down into the centre of the earth.

You feel the connection of the earth beneath you.

Your roots connecting you down to the earth and your body being represented as a tree.

And even though there may be changes to the weather,

There may be stormy days,

There may be stiller days,

But yet your roots still remain firmly rooted down into the earth's embrace.

You are able to adapt yourself to any situations that present themselves to you,

Knowing that change can always happen.

You have the ability to cope with these changes because you feel grounded,

Rooted,

Safe and secure.

Your body is heavy and relaxes into this wonderful support of the earth beneath you.

Breathing in.

Breathing out.

You begin now to draw the awareness back to your feet,

To your roots connected to the surface beneath you.

You begin to draw those roots back up from the centre of the earth.

Back up through the rocks and soil.

Back through the surface beneath you.

And now you can connect down into the earth's surface beneath you just by listening to this meditation.

You feel safe and secure.

Giving gratitude to this moment.
