Snowdrops are often seen as a symbol of patience, strength and hope. Join me in this gentle meditation that uses a visualisation of a growing snowdrop from seed to bloom. Tune into your inner strength as you emerge, stretching into new beginnings with a sense of patience, rising in your own style, your own pace and your own rhythm. Beautiful to listen to in any season, but particularly special during midwinter as we move instinctively with nature's cycles, feeling the coolness of winter fading and the warmth of spring stirring. Music by 'Music of Wisdom'.

Welcome to our snowdrop meditation for quiet strength and patience.

Take a moment to settle your body into a comfortable position,

Take a grounding breath and close your eyes if you wish.

Snowdrops often arrive in midwinter,

A symbol of hope and renewal as the earth begins to move towards more light.

Their strong green stems breaking through the earth rising towards the sunlight,

Their heads of white petals bowing towards the earth before they bloom,

A symbol not of surrender but of reverence to the earth around them.

Allow your head for a moment to bow towards your heart center,

Just feeling your breath moment by moment and the gentle rise and fall of your chest as you inhale and exhale.

If your thoughts arrive to distract you,

Just greet them like frost appearing on snowdrops,

Acknowledging them then letting them melt away with each warm breath.

Now let your breath find its own gentle rhythm and bring your attention to your body.

Notice where you feel held and notice where you could let go,

Letting the earth hold you in stillness,

Feeling its protective energy around you,

Its warmth and patience.

No need to rush anything,

No need to be anyone else right now,

Just yourself.

Now I invite you to imagine that you are a small snowdrop seed nestled beneath the earth,

A seed of wholeness and completeness filled with the patience of the earth,

The patience that comes with a sense of knowing.

Feel the earth breathing with you.

A subtle warmth starts to stir inside,

Barely noticeable yet felt enough in its own energy as you feel yourself beginning to grow,

Not pushing or forcing,

But growing towards a light,

A light you do not even need to see to know that it's there.

With each breath,

This quiet warmth begins to spread throughout your body and you feel the soil begin to part above you and you rise at your own speed,

In your own style,

Your own unique rhythm.

Notice how natural this seems to you,

Not hurried by anything or anyone,

A sure and calm trust in yourself,

Your own flow,

Finding your own strength,

This quiet certain strength.

Emerging as yourself,

Like a snowdrop naturally trusting your instincts,

Imagine bowing your head in reverence to yourself,

To your journey,

Your growth,

And then imagine your white delicate petals opening towards the sunlight,

Stretching into the space around you in complete fullness,

Without effort,

Exactly as you are,

No comparison to others,

No need for validation,

Growing with complete confidence in yourself,

Feeling your strength to emerge and your courage to be seen,

To belong,

Rising in your own time when you are ready.

Notice how this feels within you,

Patience with yourself and carrying this quiet yet certain strength within you,

Allow yourself to breathe in fullness here,

Completeness as yourself,

Expanding your awareness back into this space,

Feeling your body grounded and if you have had your eyes closed,

Gently beginning to blink open your eyes.

Namaste.

Nicely topical and self-affirming. A really relaxing listen and very laid back.
