Welcome to this meditation where we get to dream our ideal day in our mind's eye.
Before we begin I invite you to bring a softness to your breath and a lightness to your body as it settles into this moment now.
Just breathing naturally as we welcome a peace and stillness within ourselves.
Inhaling gently and releasing letting go on our exhale.
Shedding any expectations and embracing this present moment right here right now.
Through this meditation I will be inviting you to dream but please note this is not about wishing away our present life experience,
Changing the way things are necessarily.
This is about noticing what brings us joy,
What excites us,
What lights us up inside,
What gives us energy and welcoming more of that into our lives.
It's about listening to some of those whispers within and realizing all that is possible for us and all that is perhaps waiting for us if we just dare to dream.
So I invite you to find a comfortable position and gently close your eyes if you feel comfortable to do so and let's begin.
Take a moment to ground your body,
Feel your body supported by the earth beneath you.
Allow your shoulders to drop a little down further away from your ears.
Allow the muscles in your face to soften and leave a small gap between your teeth to soften through your jaw and just get a sense of your whole body here,
Your whole body breathing.
Notice the space around your body,
The energy around your body,
Your whole self here in this space.
Now I invite you to imagine a large screen appearing in front of you like a movie screen and in the center of the screen is a button to press play.
Now this button is going to play for you a movie of your ideal day.
So before we press play,
Let's just take a moment to allow ourselves to dream of some of the things that may appear in our ideal day.
Let your mind flow your ideas,
Inspiration,
What some of those components might be,
Some of the things that you know bring you joy,
That you wish to welcome more of perhaps into your life or continue doing.
Perhaps it's an energy that you crave in your life right now,
A revival of some energy or even space to rest.
Just take a moment to let some of these ideas flow.
Okay when you're ready I invite you to press play on the movie screen and watch as your day begins to unfold beginning with the very first moment that you wake in the morning.
What would that look like to you on your ideal day,
Your ideal morning?
Would it be a slow morning unwinding your body,
Your mind,
Your soul?
Or would it be a morning full of energy,
Exercise,
Movement?
What could your ideal morning look like to you?
Watch as this appears on the movie screen in front of you and it's okay if it doesn't quite make sense,
Just let it flow.
There may be some subconscious insights here.
Watch as your day continues to unfold.
Where may your ideal day take you to next?
Are you on your own or with other people around you?
What may you be doing or even you may have periods of stillness and rest.
What about how this day is feeling for you as you watch it on the screen?
Does it bring you a sense of peace of fulfillment and gratitude perhaps?
There may be confusion too and that's okay.
What surprises may unfold as your day continues?
I wonder if you can see yourself adapting naturally,
Easily,
Flowing with the day,
With ease,
With grace,
Believing that anything is possible for you.
We don't need to understand how things are possible right now but just knowing that our dreams are within us for a reason.
So continue to watch with fun and delight as the day unfolds beautifully in front of your eyes and as we begin to approach the sunset of your day in front of you on the movie screen.
I wonder how this day has felt for you.
Perhaps there were things in this ideal day that you do currently.
It's a reminder of the beauty and the joy around you right now.
Perhaps there are other things that you wish to welcome into your life.
I remember the ideal day is not about striving for perfection where everything goes exactly as planned.
I wonder if the ideal day is about noticing the beauty and the joy that exists around our day-to-day life and having those opportunities to pause,
To breathe them in,
To really feel ourselves full of gratitude,
Full of this fulfillment of our lives and I invite you to watch as a movie screen comes to an end.
Arriving back into the present moment dropping your awareness into your body now.
Noticing your body breathing and perhaps carrying with you some of the insights that you've gained from this meditation.
Things you wish to carry forwards with you.
