Hi there,
Welcome to our Dreamland adventure to Yosemite National Park.
You don't need to pack anything or do anything at all.
Find a comfortable position and let's go for a ride.
Imagine looking up into the sky and connecting to the light all the way up there.
Breathe it in.
Let go of that breath completely.
Let's take another breath in.
Can you feel your lungs filling up?
On your next breath out,
Feel your lungs empty out the air.
On your next breath in,
Imagine flying high into the sky.
You aren't alone.
I am with you and you can also imagine any of your friends and family with you on the ride.
It's up to you whether you invite anyone on your adventure.
We are heading to Northern California into the Sierra Mountains where we will explore the sights of Yosemite and finish in a meadow overlooking water.
For now,
Your breath will help get us there.
The slower,
Easier breath you take,
The smoother the ride.
As we fly into the air,
We see huge,
Fluffy white clouds and bright blue sky.
Take a look below and wave goodbye to your home as we leave your neighborhood and take ourselves across your town.
We soar into the sky and take steady,
Smooth breaths.
We have all the time to get there.
Enjoy your breath as we soar over the roads,
Forests,
And into the wilderness of Yosemite National Park.
Take a smooth,
Slow inhale and observe your breath out.
Watch your next breath in and then take a smooth,
Slow,
Steady exhale out.
That's a great job breathing.
Keep welcoming full inhales and full exhales into your body.
Up ahead,
You will start to see the famous mountain peak,
Half Dome.
The rocky dome has rounded sides,
Except for one side is just a straight edge cliff.
Beautiful shades of gray,
White,
And black swirl into the surface of the rock peak.
Some parts are sharp and jagged,
And others are smooth.
We are so high up that there are only rocky mountains surrounding this famous dome.
The trees are just below,
They don't grow this high up in altitude.
You can see the green sprinkled below in and around tons of rocks.
Those are trees.
If you look further down,
The green patches get wider and thicker as the trees begin to make up the forest that surrounds us.
On your next slow breath in,
Look really closely,
And you might be able to see little tiny dots.
As we exhale,
We'll glide a little closer.
Those dots look like tiny ants,
But they are actually people climbing all around the peak,
The rocky ledges and cliffs are a sight to see and fun for many people to explore.
On our next exhale,
Let's send all the people climbing good luck,
Courage,
And strength so that each of them make their way safely up and down the mountain.
Let's use our breath and take a full spin in the air so that we can see all around us.
Slow,
Easy breaths in,
And slow,
Easy breaths out.
You'll notice that the sky is blue for days above us and not a cloud in sight.
Let's use our breath to head on from Half Dome to the beautiful Vernal Falls.
Over the treetops and through the woods,
Can you start to see a bunch of rocky stairs?
The stairs slither alongside the waterfall and you may be able to feel the mist,
The water in the air from the waterfall.
As you slowly breathe in and out,
We go higher up this natural staircase and you may be able to hear the sound of the waterfall.
Our next breath will take us closer to the steady roar of the water hitting the pool of water below.
Just over the hill,
You can see the water rushing down the face of the mountain.
There is a rainbow at the bottom of this spectacular waterfall arching up towards us.
Vernal Falls is over 300 feet high.
That's a lot of water falling down that rocky face.
Covered in mist and a little wet,
Let's use our breaths to go high in the sky so the sun can warm us and dry our faces and clothes.
Take a breath in and connect to the sun's light.
Feel it warm our bodies to a perfect temperature.
All is dry,
Warm,
And well.
Take a deep breath in and a deep breath out as we say goodbye to Vernal Falls to find the Tuolumne Meadows.
We have to use our slow,
Steady breaths to get us to these meadows as it is the largest meadow at the highest elevation in the entire Sierra Nevada mountain range.
As we breathe out,
We fly over the green trees,
Smaller creeks and rivers to a beautiful opening nestled in a range of snowy mountain peaks.
There are rocky edges along the body of water up ahead,
And the water is so still,
So peaceful and quiet you can see the reflection of the trees and mountains all around us just as if you were looking into a mirror.
There is a picnic blanket up ahead on that sunny grass area to the right.
Let's use our last few breaths of flying to head over there.
Enjoy your smooth breaths in and out.
There isn't a hurry.
As we land,
The blanket is soft and the grass underneath us is like a big,
Comfortable padding just like our beds.
The sun is off in the distance providing enough warmth that we're comfortable.
The yellow and golden light shines all around us from the sun.
The small clouds drift over us,
And the birds soar high above our heads.
We can feel the oxygen entering and exiting our lungs with a special awareness we didn't have before.
Through our travels and flight,
We were able to change our breath.
Now we get to just observe and watch our breath,
The rhythm of movement happening within our bodies as each breath comes in and each breath goes out.
As we gaze upon the meadow scene,
We start to get a little tired,
So much so it might feel really good to lie down and gaze up at the blue sky.
There are a few clouds moving at a super slow pace,
Just like our breath.
The breath is easy,
Uncontrolled.
We begin to feel our feet soften and our lower legs.
Then this relaxation spreads to our upper legs and hips.
Our back muscles start to soften and release.
Those strong muscles begin to let go.
The shoulders are wide and our arms rest.
The belly button rises and falls with each breath.
Our chest expands and settles back in.
Your throat softens,
And then your lips,
Cheeks,
Forehead,
And all the muscles in your face begin to get heavy,
Nice and heavy,
Relaxed.
You notice the breath moving in and out at the very tip of your nose,
Knowing that you don't have to control the breath.
The breath will happen on its own.
Your body is taking care to breathe for you.
Your mind and body get to fully appreciate this downtime,
These moments you have created for yourself.
You can choose to drift off to sleep,
Or if you want,
You can stay here for as long as you want.
And when you are ready,
You can begin to breathe in a deeper breath and wiggle your body awake.
Thank you for joining me on this dreamland adventure to Yosemite National Park.
I look forward to exploring again with you soon.
