Tarikura Kapea

Tarikura Kapea is a storyteller, wellness facilitator and the producer of Āio the Podcast - a movement inspiring people to re-indigenise their lives through holistic health and the remembrance of ancestral wisdom. She is devoted to weaving indigenous narratives back into the modern world, including the stories and teachings of the Atua Wāhine (Māori Goddesses). She was born and raised in Aotearoa, New Zealand and grew up in Māori schooling and culture. Her work centres on creating accessible, grounded spaces where women are supported to reclaim menstrual sovereignty, ancestral identity, and the fullness of their feminine nature through storytelling, ceremony, and embodied practice. At the heart of her facilitation is a belief that access to cultural knowledge and holistic wisdom is essential for collective vitality - strengthening relationships within ourselves, our communities, and our relationship with te taiao (the natural world).
