Welcome to day three of the seven day challenge to reclaim your balance.

Today we'll be focusing on acknowledging your skills.

So let's begin by finding a comfortable position either lying down or sitting in a chair sitting cross-legged on the floor whatever feels good for you somewhere where you can be that you can fully relax and when you're relaxed just gently close your eyes and take a nice long deep breath in and release it slowly and as you breathe out feel the weight of your body just sinking into the surface beneath you allowing you to let go of any tension distractions from the day this is your time time for you and with each breath you can allow yourself to become more grounded more centered more present in this very moment.

Allow your breath just to flow naturally and try to change it just feel its rhythm as it moves in and out of your body calming your mind and relaxing you and now with the next breath begin to direct your attention inward in this space of stillness we're going to explore and acknowledge your unique skills your strengths your talents let's take some time to appreciate all that you are and all that you are capable of all that you bring into this world all that you do so as you continue to breathe nice and deeply nice and naturally bring your mind for a moment to a moment in your life when you felt truly proud of something that you accomplished it could be something recent that you've been truly proud of or something from a long time ago but notice the feelings associated with this achievement perhaps it's pride or satisfaction or maybe it's confidence allow these emotions to really fill you from the very top of your head to the very soles of your feet and take a moment to appreciate the dedication the effort the skills it took for you to succeed in that very moment it was no accident you brought something special to that experience whether it was your own creativity maybe your problem-solving abilities your persistence your expertise you have skills that are unique to you and they have carried you through many situations in your life just acknowledge them because these are your skills and now shift your focus to the skills and strengths that you use on a daily basis these may not always be recognized or celebrated or made a big deal about but they are no less valuable think about how you navigate through challenges maybe at work or in your relationships or personal projects consider the ways you adapt maybe the ways you learn maybe the ways you grow even when things don't go as planned take a moment to reflect on the small victories you've achieved each day and the abilities you use to make things happen whether it's your ability to communicate to cope your resilience or your capacity to listen and to support others just acknowledge all these qualities that you possess because they are a part of what makes you you there may also be talents and skills within you that are just waiting to be discovered areas of potential that haven't fully blossomed yet take a moment now to consider something you've always been curious about or drawn to perhaps it's a skill you haven't yet had the opportunity to explore fully perhaps it's a skill that you already know that you have but you don't use just cast your mind back or forward or sideways to those things that you know you have skills in or believe that there is a possibility that you could gain trust in your ability to learn to expand and to become ever more capable and as we draw towards the end of this meditation imagine yourself standing at the edge of a calm clear lake in your hand you hold a stone a stone a symbol of your skills and strength and as you toss the stone gently into the water it creates ripples and ripples that spread out across the lake expand outwards touching every corner of the lake now your skills are like those ripples in that lake they extend far beyond what you can immediately see each strength that you possess impacts your life in so many different ways and the lives of those around you get affected too the ripples of your abilities reach further than you might than you might have first realized and now imagine the surface of the lake becoming still again but you know that beneath the surface that stone your skills still rests solid and consistent always there to support you and whenever you need to remind yourself of those strengths that you possess you visualize this lake your stone and the ripples that carry your skills out into this world your talents are part of who you are unchanging even when the water of life becomes turbulent and so now you can take a nice deep breath in and let it go gently slowly bringing your awareness back to the room where you are maybe wiggling your fingers wiggling your toes feeling that energy returning to your body as you slowly open your eyes have a great day

I found this to be a gentle and effective way to find confidence and ambition that is right within myself.
