At some point,
Trying to figure out your purpose stops feeling inspiring and starts feeling heavy.
We read in the book,
We meditate.
We try to manifest the next step in our life.
And somehow,
The more we try to find clarity,
The tighter we feel.
Because most of us ask,
What is my purpose?
Or how do I find my purpose?
But the real fear underneath that question is,
What if I choose wrong?
What if I waste my life away?
So we keep searching.
We keep improving.
We keep looking for that one thing that will finally make us certain.
But clarity doesn't come from searching harder.
It comes.

From perhaps asking a different kind of question.
One that your body can actually respond to.
And that's what I want to offer you in this video.
A question that can bring you out of your head and back into relationship with yourself.

Let's take one breath together.
And let's uncover what this whole find your purpose thing is really all about.
Okay,
So if you're on a spiritual path,
It's almost like a rite of passage to ask that infamous question of what is my purpose?
But the whole idea of purpose is really kind of slippery.
Because throughout your life,
Roles change.
Careers change,
Relationships change.
You go in and out of different chapters and phases of your life.
And when we treat purpose like something we have to get right and get right and stick to forever,
It puts a lot of pressure on ourselves.
So here's the reframe I'd like to offer you around purpose.
Purpose really isn't something we find.
It's something you attune to.
When you live in alignment with the greatest expression of yourself that's ready to live right now.
And then your so-called purpose organizes itself around that.
And what I mean by the greatest expression of yourself,
This is not a role or a job title.
It's not something you have to actually come up with or invent.
The roles you play throughout your life.
And that expression stays remarkably consistent.
Even as your life changes.
When I reflect back on my own life,
The various chapters look very different on the surface.
There was a time in my life when all I really cared about was being in a band and playing guitar with my band.
Then there was another chapter of my life where it was all about business and career and getting all that stabilized.
Then there was the chapter of my life where my purpose,
So-called,
Became about writing and guiding others and teaching meditation.
All very different purposes.
And from the outside,
It might look like I've changed direction a bunch of times.
But internally,
Something stayed the same.
In every chapter,
I felt most alive when I was expressing myself creatively.
When I was sharing,
Communicating,
Expressing my gifts,
Connecting with others.
And every time I tried to suppress that or relegate it into the background,
Something in me tightened.
And I didn't always recognize it as misalignment.
I just knew that forcing myself into a particular path or defining a box known as this is my singular purpose strain.
And that strain felt like resistance,
But it was actually information.
It was my system telling me this isn't aligned with who I am.
And while all the roles might have changed externally,
The expression underneath stayed the same.
And that's what I was being asked to lean into.
That's when this idea of the from it.
Especially when going through a transition period in life or when I'm trying to call something new into my life.
I simply ask,
What is the greatest expression of myself that is ready to live now?
Not someday.
Not once I solve all my problems.
Not when I have crystal clear clarity.
But today.
In this moment.
This question doesn't ask you to plan your whole life.
It just asks you for honesty.
Because the version of you that's ready to live now that greatest expression feels more alive,
More truthful,
Less performative,
And often a little uncomfortable.
It will push you out of your comfort zone.
It will push you towards your potential.
It might show up as a creative pull that you keep ignoring,
A truth you keep swallowing or editing,
A deep inner knowing.
That you've learned to override and silence and the thing is you don't have to force an answer to this question You listen.
More specifically,
You feel for it in the body.
And this is why a lot of identity shifting and manifestation work goes sideways.
Because it stays relatively in the mind.
We try to strategize our way into a new future.
We visualize it.
We affirm it.
We make lots of plans.
We try to control every nook and cranny.
Meanwhile,
The body is still organized around who we think we need to be,
Or who the world expects us to be.
So manifestation starts to feel like it's not working.
Or that it's working for everyone else but you.
It's working for.

.
Everyone you see on the internet except you.
It starts to feel like.
We're without a purpose.
Or that the path ahead is unclear.
But really what's happening is we're trying to be someone.
We're trying to claim identity instead of letting ourselves be who we already are.
And who you are already is that greatest expression of yourself that exists beneath all the noise.
This is why that question is not meant just to be asked once.
It's meant to be returned to throughout your life regularly.
If not daily,
Especially when something feels off in your life.
When your motivation drops,
When it feels like you're doing all the so-called right things,
But yet you still feel a bit misaligned and disconnected.
Because this question,
What is the greatest expression of myself that's ready to live now,
Brings you out of self-improvement,
Brings you out of that mode,
And brings you back into self-relationship.
And that's where real identity shifts happen.
On who you are and what you're meant to do in this exact season of your life.
And instead opening up.
To your authentic presence.
Here.
Now in every moment available to you.
So what I'd like to do now is have us take a quick pause so we can connect with this question directly.
So if it's appropriate to do so,
If it feels good,
You can close your eyes if you want.
You don't have to.
And just let your attention drop out of your head and into your body.
Take one slow breath here.
And as you exhale Feel it.
From your body now without trying to answer this question with your mind Gently act yourself.

That's ready to live now.
Don't look for words.
Because that'll be the mind's immediate inclination.
Instead,
Just notice what it might stir in you.
What softens in you?
Notice any resistance.
Maybe there's a feeling of relief.
Take another slow breath.
And ask it again.
What is the greatest expression of myself?
That's ready to live now.
Let whatever wants to come up,
To come up.
Remember,
This question isn't meant to be solved.
It's meant to be felt.
Trust what the body reveals.
Little by little.
By you asking this question,
Your body will make those revelations.
And that matters more.
Than any explanation.

It doesn't demand certainty.
It's just an invitation.
For honesty.
Because honesty is how identity shifts naturally.
Honesty allows purpose to emerge all on its own.
So instead of trying to figure out your whole life,
And find your proverbial purpose,
I invite you to simply listen more truthfully to what already has been moving inside you.
