So we're going to slow down now,
Let everything come into a quieter place,
A calmer place to move from that busy activity that feels like it's from the neck up and just letting that dissolve and melt downwards towards the heart.
So wherever you are,
Sitting or lying down,
Just take a moment,
Just take a moment to really sense into the body,
Feeling the weight of it,
Where it's being supported,
Legs,
Feet,
Feeling your bum against whatever you're resting on.
If you're lying down,
Feeling your back,
Spine supported,
The head,
You keep allowing your focus to bring you deeper into the body.
So moving out of the mental stories,
The mental thinking and coming into the presence of your physical body and sensing your big toe,
Baby toe and all the toes in between,
Noticing where your hands are and perhaps even feeling a pulsing of energy at the fingertips.
And just feel as if you're switching off,
Like there's a switch and you've just switched off the thinking mind.
And the thoughts are still there,
But you're not actively thinking now.
So you flick the switch and you're now in observation,
Watching and witnessing thoughts like bubbles arising and going,
Sensations of the body coming and going,
Feelings,
Emotions that might arise coming and going.
Just notice your breath without altering it,
Without having to do anything different about it in natural breath and how it's flowing right now.
Just let your mind's attention rest very lightly on the focus of breathing.
And imagine a blue sky,
Most beautiful blue.
And see if you can find a beginning or end to that sky.
There is none.
There's no beginning,
There's no end to the sky.
It's infinite.
It doesn't start anywhere and end somewhere.
And this is you.
You are infinite.
There's no beginning and there's no end.
There's no start and no finish.
Just imagine yourself as the blue sky.
And clouds come and they float through.
The clouds are like our thoughts that come and go.
The clouds are like our feelings that come and go.
And sometimes we identify with the cloud.
So if there's a storm,
We start identifying,
Get all caught up in the drama of the storm,
Forgetting that we're the sky.
So coming back,
Coming back and remembering.
Just let yourself be that infinite blue sky and the clouds coming and going are not you.
Everything that changes is not you.
Every thought,
Feeling,
Because they all come and they go and they change.
Anything that changes is not you.
And feel yourself resting now,
Resting in this place that never changes.
It's solid and yet it's so open and empty and full at the same time.
And resting there is to allow yourself to rest in this place.
Everything else around you changing,
Shifting.
And you're centered in this place,
This presence,
This divine I am.
Whenever you feel ready,
You can give a little movement to your physical body,
A little sensation to your feet.
Move them around.
Wiggle your toes,
Hands,
Fingers.
Really open your eyes.
Look at what you're looking at.
What do you see in front of you?
Just take time to see what's here right now.
Take it in.
Drink it in.
