Welcome.
I invite you to find a comfortable space where you can relax for the duration of this recording.
Please be sure you are not driving or doing anything that requires your focused conscious attention during this time.
Ideally you'll have wrists and ankles uncrossed and just take a moment to move about to find the space that is most comfortable for you.
As you settle in a little more deeply,
Notice the earth below you,
Keeping you grounded,
Holding you safe.
Notice the air above you and around you,
Inviting you to breathe in life's breath and endless possibilities.
If you would like,
I welcome you to take a nice deep inhale breath and then slowly release that breath,
Letting all that will go easily just melt away.
Allow yourself to be easy,
Quiet and comfortable.
Just begin to become aware of any thoughts in the mind.
Know that those thoughts are okay to be there.
We try to force thoughts out of the mind.
They only go deeper,
Which we do not want.
So instead of pushing any thoughts out of the mind,
Simply observe those thoughts.
Allow any thoughts to move through your mind and just notice how those thoughts will begin to slow down all on their own.
As you continue just to be aware of any thoughts and allow those thoughts to continue to move through your mind,
Those thoughts will continue to slow down.
Your mind will begin to become a little more clear.
And you can watch any thoughts as they move through your mind if you would like.
Much as you might watch bubbles floating along on a gentle breeze.
As you continue just to be aware of those thoughts and allow those thoughts to continue to slow down.
Your mind will become even more clear.
And remember some of those thoughts are absolutely okay to be there.
I invite you to allow those remaining thoughts to drift towards endless possibilities.
Allow your mind to begin to wander,
To explore any possibilities of thought,
Of emotion,
The possibility of a million different choices that you could make and a myriad of adventures that you have yet to take.
You are about to embark on an adventure and you don't even need to leave the house to do it.
In fact,
You don't even need to move a muscle to go on this journey,
This adventure,
This quest.
Since this adventure takes place within your mind,
Within the quantum field that is your mind,
The possibilities are truly infinite.
As you move through this adventure within your incredible mind,
Know that you can experience anything and everything as your own in your own way.
There is no right or wrong way to have this experience.
This is your journey and you can make it your own.
You are welcome to imagine along with these words,
To feel anything that comes up for you or to even just drift along as you please.
Embrace and weave into your experience all that you like,
That feels good and right.
Allow anything that does not to simply drift by like a puffy cloud on a gentle breeze.
I welcome you to truly choose your own adventure.
Now think,
Feel and imagine that you are about to go on a journey,
This journey is going to be your favorite kind of journey,
Full of wonderful sights and uplifting feelings.
Imagine in your mind's eye that you are getting up from wherever you are sitting or lying.
And when you do get up,
You are facing a doorway.
This doorway can be an actual door or perhaps it's just a doorway,
Maybe even a vine covered archway.
As you peer through this door or doorway,
You can see sunlight streaming down a path.
This path is flat and appears easy to walk upon and it seems to wind around a bend in the most inviting and enticing way.
Imagine now that you begin your journey stepping through this doorway and make your way down the path.
As you do notice there are lots of beautiful sights to see,
Pleasant sensations to experience along this path.
You may find yourself admiring trees and flowers.
Perhaps you might find that the pathway is meandering through a meadow or maybe a deep green forest.
As you wander along this path,
You might feel a gentle breeze.
It may be warm and relaxing or maybe it's nice and cooling as it ripples across your skin.
Feel the soft earth under your feet.
Notice now how at peace you feel in the moment,
Simply enjoying this journey that you are on,
Just walking along this path,
Being present with the beauty all around you.
As you gaze further down the path,
You notice the beauty around you extends in any direction that you turn and you realize that you are feeling completely relaxed,
Comfortable and safe,
Supported by nature,
The earth and the universe that you are a part of.
You may even notice the few animals that have emerged around you,
Bunnies or other small mammals in the meadows or maybe birds in the sky and in the trees.
Is there water nearby?
Do you notice any splashing or activity?
As you continue along this path,
Notice how it's beginning to straighten out and is leading you to a clearing.
You continue to follow the sunlight streaming along your path.
You continue to enjoy the warmth and comfort that the stroll is bringing to you.
As you continue on your path,
You eventually come into that clearing,
Into a beautiful,
Vast meadow.
This meadow is so lush and green.
Take a moment to enjoy a nice deep breath just to absorb that clean,
Refreshing air in your lungs.
You might take some time to look around at the array of flowers,
Wildlife in the meadow,
The trees all along the perimeter.
Perhaps you see some of your favorite flowers here or maybe even an animal that you have always wished to see in real life.
If you have a power animal or totem animal in your life,
Perhaps that animal is here.
Take your time here.
Give yourself permission to ask any animal,
Bird,
Tree or flower that seems particularly significant,
If they have a message for you.
When you are ready to begin again,
You may notice at the end of the meadow,
There's a body of water.
It could be a large pond with water lilies growing in and around it.
It could be a trickling stream or babbling brook with dragonflies landing and taking off from its banks.
It could be a lazy river winding its way through the trees.
And maybe it's the ocean itself with that gentle rhythm of the waves moving in and moving out.
It is completely up to you.
This is your adventure.
It is now time to make your way over to the water,
Continuing to follow your path at your own pace.
When you reach the water,
Find a comfortable place to sit down.
This could be on a large,
Well-worn stone at the water's edge.
Maybe it's simply a soft tuft of grass.
Maybe it's a huge old tree that has been weathered and worn so that it's soft and smooth to the touch with a seat that fits just for you.
Or perhaps there's just a bench,
Even a comfortable chair,
Waiting for your arrival.
Once you are seated,
You discover that you have been carrying something with you on this journey.
Actually there's more than one thing that you've been carrying.
You notice that you could be feeling lighter than you have been.
Even though this has been a peaceful,
Enjoyable adventure so far,
You realize you have been carrying more than you need.
In fact,
You've been carrying more than you need even prior to beginning this trip at all.
You begin to search through your pockets.
If you had a bag with you,
Maybe you searched through that bag.
You've even taken a moment to search within through your heart,
Throughout your mind.
And as you search,
You begin to discover what has made you feel heavier than you really need to be.
You start to discover that you have brought with you some stones,
And they are surprisingly heavy stones.
There are large stones and small ones,
And they have all been weighing you down.
There must be a reason that you have brought these stones with you.
As you turn them over and over in your hand,
You realize that these stones represent things like worry,
Fear,
Anxiety,
And doubt.
Some of these stones even have those heavy words etched into them,
Words like trepidation,
Frustration,
Maybe even confusion.
There are other words attached to these stones as well,
And they have been weighing down on you,
Keeping you from being light and free.
Some of these stones you recognize.
Some of them were given to you long ago,
And you have carried them ever since.
Some of them you don't recognize at all.
A few of them you thought you had let go of long ago,
And you are surprised to find that they are still here.
Since you are so close to the water,
You think there is no need to carry these stones with you any further,
Not even one step further.
You take the first stone in your hand,
Maybe it's the one that was on the top of the pile,
Or the last one from the very bottom of your pocket.
Maybe it's the heaviest stone.
Or maybe you begin with the lightest.
It doesn't really matter.
It's completely up to you.
In any case,
As you hold that first stone and roll it over and over in your hand,
You suddenly have an urge and you cast it out into the water.
As that stone hits the water,
It makes a satisfying splash.
You watch as the ripple expands and expands,
Spreading out into concentric circles.
The water taking this heavy stone,
This heavy rock,
This heavy thought,
Feeling or idea.
You experience relief and satisfaction as the ripples smooth and the water takes that stone away.
It feels so good just letting that heaviness go that you pick up another stone.
As you throw this stone into the water,
You notice you feel even better than when you tossed the first one in.
Again you watch those concentric circles expanding.
Once again just allowing that water to take any and all heavy thoughts and feelings associated with that stone.
Again you feel a sense of satisfaction and maybe resolve.
Resolve to let go of all that you've been needing to let go of.
Now you're really beginning to feel good about this letting go process and you begin to throw stone after stone into the water.
You may toss each stone with more intention,
Putting more muscle behind it.
Maybe you see how far you can throw them or how big of a splash you can make.
You might even try to skip some of these stones and celebrate with each skip the distance between you and that stone before it sinks out of sight into the water.
With each toss you feel lighter,
Lighter,
And lighter until you feel as light as a feather,
As air,
As a gentle breeze.
You may even begin to feel a little euphoric,
Almost giddy.
It feels so good to just let go,
To trust,
To breathe a sigh of relief.
And you stay there at the water until every last stone has been tossed in.
Stay as long as you would like.
When you have finished,
You stand and admire any remaining ripples in the surface of the water as they take all of your cares,
All of your worries.
You might even stay until the surface of the water returns to its most calm state.
Once you have taken all the time here that you would like,
You might take a slow look around remembering where you are,
This place of beauty,
Of wonder,
Of healing.
You might even want to spend a little more time here.
There may be room to stretch or to dance as you experience this new lightness about you.
You might want to find a place to recline back or lie down,
To allow any remaining stuff to just melt away.
Take as much time here as you would like.
When you are ready,
Before you go,
Take a moment to give thanks to this place,
To the meadow,
To the path,
To the healing waters.
And then as you turn to go,
Take one last look,
Taking in all of the beauty and allow your heart to swell with gratitude as you leave any and all remaining heaviness or negativity completely behind.
And only take with you now peace of mind,
Peace of heart,
Well-being,
Security,
And happiness within you.
Allow that happiness,
That lightness,
That inner joy to settle deep into your heart,
Deep in your mind,
And into every single fiber of your being.
Know that this place is actually inside of you,
Providing healing and respite whenever you need it,
Whenever you want it,
Now and for all of your life.
You can always return whenever you would like.
And you find yourself moving back along the path quickly,
Quickly back to that doorway,
Returning full of light,
Full of love,
Full of peace.
Before you know it,
You are back at the doorway.
It is now time to return without any burdens,
Fresh,
New,
And full of contentment and gratitude.
Imagine yourself stepping back through that doorway,
Coming into your space again.
And when you are ready,
Slowly coming all the way back out,
All the way back,
Coming all the way back into your body,
Refreshed,
Renewed,
And revitalized with full energies returning and integrating completely.
Taking your time as you come all the way back out whenever you're ready,
Eyes opening,
Stretching and moving about.
I always encourage you to take your time as you come back.
Take a moment to drink some water.
It's always lovely if you're able to step outside and connect your bare feet with the earth.
At the very least,
Just give yourself a few moments as you come all the way back.
Thank you so much for taking this time with me today.
