The journey towards healing emotional, mental and physical pain requires us to work beyond the external, and tap into our internal healing. We can feel so connected to our pain and trauma, that it becomes us. This practice works with helping us with releasing and accepting the inner journey to healing. Allowing these waters to wash away, evaporate and welcome in a new way of being, free from the weight, heaviness.

Transcript

Today our practice is focused on the healing process,

Whether that be physical,

Mental or emotional healing.

Using our time today to give the weight of your body,

The emotion,

The heaviness over to relaxation.

Stepping away from all the pressing items,

The doing,

Acting upon the searching for answers and just allowing and welcoming in.

When we pause and accept and welcome in the moment,

We create space and allow the new,

The healing,

To come into our lives.

I invite you to find a comfortable position,

Whether you be laying down or seated upright,

Wherever you are most comfortable in body and mind.

Beginning to connect with this breath that is moving in and out of our bodies.

Feeling it begin its journey at the nostrils as it moves through and breathes our body.

Feeling sensations.

And working to release any type of grip,

Clinging to that pain that arises in our practice.

And we do that by just being with that,

Feeling the ache,

The pain and observing it as almost something separate from us.

Doing this practice as we're in the process of doing this practice of not identifying and simple observation.

Allowing this breath to come in through the nose and wash through the body,

This very cleansing,

Clean breath as this breath moves through you,

Offer up relaxation anywhere in the body so that you may just be.

Imagine in your mind's eye,

You are standing before this beautiful pool of water in this magical place in your mind.

The water is all colors of blues and greens glistening with the sun shining upon it.

There's a special quality to this pool of water.

You can feel its energy.

You can sense that it has something powerful within.

We take a moment to simply take in the calm and stillness of this water.

Your curiosity draws you closer so that your toes begin to reach the edge of the water.

And you feel these warm laps of water surround each toe,

Covering the foot and the ankle now as you feel comfortable to take a step forward.

Feeling the water now begin to hit your shins and your calves.

Rising up to the knee and the back of the knee,

The temperature is so perfect.

You can barely tell the difference between being in water and being out.

There's a soft sand beneath your foot that is supportive and inviting.

Taking another step forward,

You feel the water rise up through the legs till it reaches the hips.

And you begin to feel a little bit of that weight in the heaviness of the body.

Begin to lift away as you step further again as it reaches your abdomen.

You can see the clarity of this water,

But there's a glistening that runs through it,

This illumination that has this feeling of energizing,

Of new,

Of something you've never experienced before.

You continue to take another step into this water until you are lifted to be floating on your back.

All gravity has ceased at this point.

You feel this water cover your shoulders,

Supporting your back.

And there's a sense that it's a little thicker than water as you move your hands through it.

Feeling each finger,

Each fingertip glide through,

Feeling it rise up and support the neck and the back of the head with no effort simply floating and being.

And you listen what you hear in this water,

Its vibration of life and energy.

And this sense within you that these waters offer healing.

That accepting being in this body of water,

You welcome in all of its potential.

The sun is shining on your face and the body is so perfectly warm and supported and free.

Not only does the body feel light,

But the mind and the heart feel light as if they are floating too.

Breathing in,

Offering anything up.

And water simply dissolving,

Cleansing and purifying.

The time arises where you know it's best to leave these waters that they have done their work.

Gently place your feet back down on that soft floor of the water.

Making your way,

You still carry this light feeling with you as if you've left something behind in the water.

And as you emerge,

That feeling of evaporation on the skin from the warm air around you ignites the sensation across every inch of the body that as this water is evaporating,

So is your pain.

The heavy weight you've been carrying evaporates.

The ceaseless thoughts,

The worry are lifted.

Breathing in,

You feel a fullness of breath that you have not felt in so long from the constriction and the weight.

Being with breath,

Taking deep breaths in,

Allowing it to move throughout the body and deep exhales out,

Letting it all evaporate.

Be with this breath deeply in and deeply out.

A few more cycles of breath deep in,

Breathing in,

Releasing in,

Deep out.

Healing is an active process.

It's important to align our emotional and our mental and our physical well-being and support our healing.

Starting both the external healing journey by doing the internal work,

By understanding that we must accept and let go to allow in,

To allow in the evaporation of this heavy time so we can welcome in the light,

The release,

And give ourselves this new beginning.
