Welcome to this meditation.
I thank you and celebrate you for being here and finding this time to be with you.
Finding this time to find the stillness within,
To turn inwards.
In this times of great change and upheaval in our world is becoming more important than ever to turn inwards and to find this place of stillness within.
So let us begin by grounding down our hips onto the earth.
I invite you to find a comfortable seat,
Elevate your hips and feel yourself being held.
Feel yourself being supported by the earth,
The ground beneath you.
Becoming aware of the parts of the body that are in contact with the earth.
Feeling your connection to her.
Thanking her for supporting you,
For holding your body weight unconditionally each and every moment of the day.
Feeling your connection with her,
Knowing that your body is the earth.
Thanking the earth for giving us everything our body needs.
The beautiful fruits and vegetables,
The clear spring water,
Nourishing our bodies,
Sustaining life.
In the next conscious inhale,
Becoming aware of the air entering your lungs,
Expanding your chest and your belly.
Giving thanks to the elements of air,
The breath of life,
The inspiration that comes with the elements of air.
We breathe in the life giving force.
So let us take three conscious breaths here together.
Inhaling,
Opening your mouth,
Exhaling.
Two more,
Let's get inspired by life.
Deep inhale,
Opening your mouth,
Exhaling it all out.
And last one,
Really filling your lungs with a fresh air,
New possibilities all the way in.
And exhale.
Every breath gives us a new choice.
Every breath gives us a new opportunity to choose differently.
So thanking the elements of air for sustaining us,
For inspiring us,
For giving us life.
From the very first breath of our birth to the very last breath of our last hour on earth.
Bring our awareness now to solar plexus,
The area just above your belly button.
There lives the fire element,
Which is also the element of inspiration.
It is the element of creation.
Everything you do,
Produce,
Create in your life is fueled and guided by the element of fire which lives in our bellies.
So let us become so very present with the fire in our bellies,
The driving force behind our actions.
Thanking the element of fire for giving us the drive,
For giving us the fuel to function,
The energy to produce,
To create.
We thank you the element of fire and we acknowledge that you're always a part of our body.
Becoming aware of the waters inside of our bodies,
The blood running through our veins,
The tears in our eyes,
The waters in our wombs.
Thank you sacred water of life for nourishing,
Purifying,
Cleansing and sustaining our bodies in the earth.
Without you there wouldn't be any life.
Feeling gratitude for the waters of life,
For the waters running in the creeks,
The rivers,
The oceans.
Thanking the sacred waters of life for our babies,
Our mothers,
Our fathers,
For all of the creation.
For the next two minutes I would like to invite you to sit with the four elements that are ever so present in your body.
You will be guided through an instrumental piece of music and I'm encouraging you to feel the different elements as you sit in the stillness of your mind.
