This practice is day 5 in a 7 day Spread Love Meditation Challenge. In this meditation, the focus is on loving all people. Those we love and know and those we don't. You can do this practice along with the others in the series or all by itself.

Hi,

I'm Angela,

And today I will guide you through a loving meditation where we will focus on loving the world.

Let's begin by finding a comfortable seat,

Maybe sitting on the ground using some props,

Pillows,

And cushions,

Crossing our legs or keeping them straight,

Or perhaps you'll sit on a chair with your feet planted flat on the ground.

Sitting up straight as if someone has a string at the top of your head pulling you up,

Gently lying your hands on your thighs,

Palms up or palms down,

Whatever feels comfortable.

Maybe you'll even have one palm up and one palm down.

Gently closing your eyes or keeping your eyes gazed on something straight ahead.

This is what you'll look at during the entire meditation if you're not comfortable with closing your eyes.

Starting by breathing through the nostrils,

A nice natural breath in and out,

Chin parallel to the floor,

Shoulders rolled up and back a couple of times just to loosen that area of the body.

Beginning at the top of your head,

Relaxing the eyebrows,

The eyelids,

Cheekbones,

Softening the jawbone,

Relaxing the shoulders,

Allowing the core to be released,

Relaxing your arms and your fingertips,

Relaxing your legs and your toes,

Bringing the mind back to the breath in and out of the nostrils and bringing to mind an object that brings you great joy,

Something,

Someone that brings a smile to your face,

Allowing the tips of your lips to raise into a slight smile that will keep there during the entire meditation.

Bringing to mind the reasons why this object brings you great joy,

Makes you feel loved and joyful,

Allowing that feeling to move throughout your body,

Moving up to the top of your head and down to the bottom of your feet and out towards the tip of your fingers,

Allowing it to radiate as a beautiful white light that you were just beaming as.

Keeping the mind on this object that brings you joy and happiness,

Makes you feel loved and thinking about why that object makes you feel that way.

Thinking about all the people in your life that you love,

Imagining them standing in front of you as you radiate this beautiful light just shining on them,

Spreading this love to them so they may feel what you feel also.

Bringing to mind the people in the world that you come across that you may not think much about,

But you see them.

They're ringing you up at the supermarket or gas station.

They're making you your coffee.

You're working alongside them.

Imagine them standing in front of you as you extend this loving light,

This joy onto them,

Spreading love even further.

Loving people in your life who you have a hard time loving,

You have a hard time getting along with.

Maybe you haven't spoken to them in a while for good reason.

They need love too.

Imagine them sitting,

Standing in front of you and this beautiful light that is beaming from you now radiates through them.

Sending love to those we love,

To those we come across and don't think much about,

And then to those whom we have a hard time loving but still need love in their life.

Letting go of the hurt and pain and just giving them love,

Joy,

That light that's beaming from you.

Thinking about that object that makes you radiate love throughout your body so you can spread more love to everyone.

Imagining that where there is a lack of love,

There is an opportunity for me to bring love.

Bringing a sphere of light encompassing you,

Those you love,

Those you come in contact with and those you have a hard time loving.

Imagine that light circling and coming back to you and filling up your entire body with this love that you just spread out into the world.

It is now filling you in a much greater way because what we give,

We receive much more of.

Bring that light back into your heart center and remember we have that all day long to tap into any time we need it in order to spread more love in the world and within ourselves.

Begin to bring your mind back to the room,

Taking in a nice deep breath through the nostrils and out through the mouth.

Wiggling your fingers and your toes,

Gently opening your eyes,

Knowing that any time you need to feel this feeling,

Just think about the object that makes you radiate love and bring a smile to your face.

Go out and spread more love in the world.
