Our brains are wired to notice problems. It’s a useful survival skill—but it can also make it difficult to register the many neutral or “okay” moments that we experience alongside stress and discomfort. This short guided practice introduces the idea of neutral noticing: gently bringing attention to one thing that is simply okay right now. Not amazing. Not terrible. Just okay. Practicing this small shift in attention can help balance the brain’s natural negativity bias and support nervous system regulation.
